I'm considering a cruise that stops in Bermuda for 3 days. Tell me about your experiences! I want to know what you've seen, what's popular, and what's kid-friendly. Pictures are welcome!

It has been a long time since I have been to Bermuda. Hopefully the Tropical Storm didn't do much damage to the island this past week.
I love St. Georges. Took the walking tour and ate at ?The White House?
We were staying at the Grotto Bay Inn. Very close to the Swizzlers Pub where the dark n stormy was to originate from. Wonderful food at the pub. The Hogpenny downtown and Pickeled Onion were also good places to eat downtown.
The ship dock-yards have some cute shops amongst them.
Bermuda has a wonderful bus system, no rental cars allowed. Things can be pricy but it is beautiful.
Try to go to the pink beaches - Horseshoe bay. Have fun!

I've been to Bermuda twice. Once on my honeymoon and once on a cruise. My brother in laws family just came back from a Bermuda cruise last week. It's a beautiful island. With 3 days there, that's a nice amount of time. Does the ship stay at one port for 3 days or does it do 2 ports. I'm going to guess that it does 2 ports. Which would be nice. You get to see different parts of the island. On our cruise, we spent one of the days at a beach. It was beautiful and in July. They are on the same latitude as North Carolina. Also don't forget about hurricane season. My brother in law missed the big hurricane there by a few days. The people are very nice. It's an expensive island as far as food and homes go. But is very beautiful. Go and enjoy!

It's only one port--King's Wharf. Is it hard to get around via bus? Or is a Taxi better?

We did the Bermuda cruise last year. Had a fabulous time! We bought a bus/ferry pass, and it was very easy to get around. We hired a tour guide for our first morning there, and did a tour from Kings Wharf to St George and hit all the highlights on the way. We then had the remaining time to go back and spend more time at whatever interested us. I would highly recommend it.
