Taylored Expressions latest release has a number of new products with this theme. There are large floral stamps, a whole set of sentiments for inside and outside a card. They also have older dies and stamps with a Christian theme. New products revealed and lots of ideas for how to use them on the TE BLOG today.

What a beautiful and useful release! Scott from Card Cutups posted a stunning sympathy card from the January HA card kit - I want to make something like it to keep on hand.

Hm, I wouldn't go for that Tailored Expressions set - it's fine, but heavy flowers + religious theme limits it severely in who you can gift the resulting cards to. I'd prefer something more neutral - loss is universal, sadly. kate that's a lovely card, one I could see gifting to almost anyone.

I wish they’d created a non-religious sentiment set and a separate religious one (which I think they did for Xmas if I remember correctly) rather than mixing the two. I can’t/won’t send out a card referring to religious ideas I don’t believe in, so I’d end up giving/throwing away half of the strips I made. Maybe if I had a friend who crafted who was religious we could split the strips. But I do like the look of some of the flowers and it’s always good to know what’s out there. Thanks for sharing grammadee - it’s a necessary card theme but can be challenging to make. Finding the right words is always the biggest challenge for me. I got this stamp set www.pinkfreshstudio.com/products/forever-in-our-hearts-stamp-set which has really good sympathy sentiments, many designed for infant and pregnancy loss, but most of which also work for general sympathy cards. Sentiments included in this set: -We carry them in our hearts -I'm sorry for your loss -You're in my heart -Even those that never fully blossom bring beauty into the world -"What cannot be said, will be wept." -Sappho -The only people who think there is a time limit on grief, have never lost a piece of their heart. Take all the time you need -You're in my thoughts -My heart just hurts for you -"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart." - A. A. Milne -Sending all my love -With all my sympathy -On Mother's Day I can think of no mother more deserving, than the mother who had to give one back. -There are no words to make this better, Just know that I am here for you

Sentiments are usually an expression of the person sending the card, but hopefully they are also appropriate for the person receiving it, too.
My neighbor just died this morning. I wasn’t sure at first if his family were religious, but they asked for prayers, so I will give them a card along those lines, and it will be sincerely meant. It’s the second time in less than two weeks that I’ve needed a sympathy card.
It’s true, though, that not everyone is religious, and it is good to have appropriate stamps for whoever the recipient is. I liked the Penny Black set. It had some really nice sentiments. Thanks cbet, for sharing the link for it.

I am one of those crazy people that think that If I make a sympathy card or buy stuff to make one, I will need one.
So I don't. No way, no how! LOL

In my community of 154 homes, we have lost 5 friends in the past 2 months. I do have a supply of both sympathy and get well cards.
