This store has some great black dresses. Not cheap, but I’m willing to invest in a good LBD.

How fun! I think a sheeth dress, rather than something with flare at the bottom will serve you well. IMHO, the flare is more sweet than sexy on your body type. I also love sexy red heels with LBDs.

I have a tank top style black swing dress, just above the knee..... and a tank top style black maxi dress.
I've worn them both several times.

They both can be:
Dressed up (jewelry, heels, blingy sandals, shrug, blingy cardigan or wrap, hair done, makeup on,  etc..).
Dressed down (denim jacket, casual cardigan, flat shoes, flip flops, button up flannel shirt tied around waist, boots, hair in braids, wearing ball cap, etc....).
