I'm on little old lady duty for a couple days. So, dh will have either Tuscan bean stew or Ham Casserole. We have rechauffe to keep him happy.
What's on your menu?
Wishing my tribal friends a happy, easy and sweet day.

Today’s good news - my dishwasher is working again. I am currently running an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner through it, as suggested by the technician who fixed it, then I will catch up on all the dishes from the past two days. I also have to replace everything that lives under the sink, which had to come out for the fix to happen.
Dinner tonight will be mushroom and snap peas risotto with a chicken breast. Still just me, as DH won’t be home until later tonight.

Morning ladies!!
It's very windy and cold outside and I really don't want to go anywhere but unfortunately that won't happen. I have to go pick dd#1 up either before lunch or after school(she's still not feeling that great) and then dd#2 has soccer practice tonight.
Dinner is easy but not many in the house are excited about it. Ham steak, steamed cauliflower and cheese sauce, and rice. I'm excited about it. LOL
Hope you all have a great day!!

I'm going to try to make that greek chicken with the feta potatoes tonight that I was supposed to make two days ago. Today is Jeremy's birthday and so we will have a homemade raspberry cheesecake for dessert.

We'll need something easy -- Survivor night!
I'm thinking maybe chili and the fixings. We did not have a consult this a.m.

I'm just going to make a simple tomato sauce, throw some frozen meatballs in, boil some pasta, and call it spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.

Tonight is WW with my Mom, I was down 15 lbs last week thanks to getting my thyroid meds adjusted a few weeks ago. I’m not weighing tonight since I won’t have time to change. But per the scale at home it’s down another 2 lbs. After that we are running some errands and eating somewhere while we are out. I’m thinking Thai sounds good, but 7 hours from now who knows what I’ll be craving. Happy hump day ladies!!!

Happy Birthday to the mighty dh of our jeremysgirl . May he enjoy his raspberry cheesecake! We are having the scallops we were supposed to eat last night. We'll eat a rice dish with veggies and a sweet potato for me and a russet potato for my dh who will not be getting a raspberry cheesecake. I did make a chocolate Bundt cake last night so there's that. But he'd prefer a raspberry cheesecake hahahaha! Thanks for the thread, oh loving and kind chief of the sisterly tribe of dinner makers. Be well, scrapmaven .

My pulled pork was a success last night. I used my Instant Pot...only the 4th time I've used it in 2 years!
Tonight we are having chicken. That's all I know at this point!

Hi friends We are having the pork chops I did not cook yesterday That’s all I know since I haven’t even had breakfast yet! Caliber’s breeder posted photos of his siblings. His sister Cazia is beautiful and regal. He’s a goof. She is outside working. And he’s on my bed watching me get dressed

Soup for dinner. It's damp and cool again today. I guess I'm glad all my vacation projects are indoors this week because it's raining nearly every day. The kitchen is almost put back together. I have a couple more spots to touch up and a couple more cabinet doors to re hang. I bought new drawer pulls at Home Depot this morning and they were 6 short. Another HD about 15 miles away has them in stock, so I'll go pick them up tomorrow.
Yoga for me tonight, so I'll eat a small snack a couple hours before I go.

Making the pork chops I didn't make last night, along with Stove Top and green beans, both of which will make dh very happy. (Fresh green beans make me very happy. Canned green beans are fine with dh. )

I have a sick kid home today. So far he’s had chunky chicken noodle soup for breakfast (his request!). I add chicken stock so it’s really brothy because that’s how I like it. Anyway, for dinner we are having ... homemade chicken noodle soup. Good thing we really like chicken noodle soup.

Just back in from the ortho and HEB. He has deemed my foot at 50% improvement and renewed the medication for another week. Have another follow up visit next Wed. I am starting to see improvement and was able to walk slowly without the boot today (makes it easier to drive). He thinks I should be over it in another 1-2 weeks. I sure hope so! In the meantime, I've really cleaned up my diet and upped my water intake. DH and DD bought fresh trout on Sunday. For some reason I thought it went home with her (even at 32, Dad enjoys picking up her grocery tab when she accompanies him to the store ). Turns out it is in my fridge, so we are having broiled trout for dinner. Will make a small pan of cornbread and warm some veggies to go with it. lucyg - hope that your DGS is feeling better quickly. jeremysgirl - Happy Birthday to your DH. scrapmaven - Take care while you are on 'little old lady' duty.

Hi Everyone! scrapmaven When I first read your post I thought it said “I’m a little old lady.” I said to myself “Oh no you’re not! I obviously reread it and hope she doesn’t give you any trouble. jeremysgirl to your DH! sueg I am glad that it is working again. brandy327 I hope your DD feels better soon! lucyg I hope your DGS feels better soon! PolarGreen12 Love the meme! gmcwife1 Beautiful pooches! tuesdaysgone I hope that you share pictures of your kitchen with us. Well in the past 2 weeks I had an epiphany. My boys are starved when they get home and eat so much before dinner that they are to full to eat dinner. So I began making dinner early. So when they come in I have their dinners plated and ready to go. They come in, go to the bathroom, wash their hands and are ready to eat. So the Mongolian beef meal that I have threatened to make for 3 days was finally made today. Thanks to all of the rechauffe being gone. They loved it and now I have a kitchen to clean. Sending prayers and hugs to all of you!

Needless to say, I had leftovers. I'm going to try to make that greek chicken with the feta potatoes tonight that I was supposed to make two days ago. Sounds divine! I love Greek style chicken, and my favourite potato salad is a Greek one with feta and lots of other delicious Mediterranean ingredients. How do you do your feta potatoes? Are they hot, or is it a potato salad?

We are having Thai Cashew Quinoa with a ton of vegetables. Ah, I had forgotten about that recipe! I saved it when you first posted about it, but haven't gotten around to making it yet. Perhaps I'll do it on the weekend for DD and I.

Congratulations on your weight loss PolarGreen12lucyg hope your boy is only down for today and you don’t catch whatever he has @destined2bemom good idea cooking early I was off today. I think tomorrow may be my last day because the HR department hasn’t decided yet the exact date but suggesting 3/5. I’m off then for my trip. I’ll be free to help my sister empty my dad’s house and get it ready to sell. I’m alone for dinner so I’m trying to finish off all the veggies in the fridge. So it’s looking like buffalo cauliflower and a bacon ranch salad.

It was a Home Chef meal. I just followed the recipe. That sounds delicious! When we go to one of the local Greek restaurants we often get the feta chips (chips/fries sprinkled with garlic oil, feta and oregano). I had never thought to do the same with roasted potatoes. YUM!
