Hey friends! 2 pm Saturday is my friend's memorial service and I'm organizing and providing almost all of the food, with some help from friends to do some food prep tomorrow afternoon at my house and others are doing some baking. Expecting up to 200 people.
I have frozen cookies, brownies and about 160 pieces of Magic Cookie Bars. Do I need to put them out in a single layer to thaw or can I plate them frozen, let thaw on counter overnight, covered in foil, and then uncover when we arrive? Trying to figure out the best way to do this. I have tons of things to transport to the church on Saturday. It might be best to thaw the goodies as they are packed up and plate them once we arrive on site.
Thoughts or advice appreciated! TIA

Baked goods thaw pretty quickly in my experience. You should be fine leaving them in their current containers.

Thaw them completely inside their sealed containers. Once thawed you can plate them however you want. If you open them while they’re frozen they can lose their original texture.

I would put them out on the counter the evening before (in the containers), if the service is in the morning or early afternoon. They will probably be defrosted in a couple/ few hours depending on whether it's single layer or stacked.

Thanks, all! They are mostly stacked in large Ziploc bags.
