Today we’re scraplifting AussieMeg! I love this beautiful layout. Your bonus challenge is to include diagonal stripes somewhere on your layout.

I’ve been to the Pancake Parlour! One of DDs friends works there. Great LO for inspiration!

Thank you lilacgal! This should be an easy challenge for me. The good thing about digital is that I only need to delete the photo and whack a different one on there, and change the papers over. The hard work is already done.

I thought this was gonna be EASY! But I think AussieMeg just makes it look easy I started by adding gesso to a background paper, wanting to create the soft faded look to the pattern. FAIL! Looked awful. So I gessoed the whole pp, and cut it down and matted it. Then I was struggling with my layers - decided to turn them sideways finally and got along better after that. I tried to keep many of the original elements - the elegant shaped box, some arrows. the circle layer. layout chestnut thwacking by kirstendrew, on Flickr

jeremysgirl, I love this. I love the plaid and the cute stack of gifts, but mostly I love the sentiment. They are both beautiful gifts! I'm glad you scrapped this and they will be too as years go by.
