Not to rain on the Giants fans parade - they have played amazingly well - but wouldn't it be more appropriate to celebrate on a Giants thread, not a thread started by a Royals fan? Either a Royals fan or a Giants fan would have had to start a World Series thread. Which brings up the question on why should there be 2 separate threads for the World Series? Why can't both sides come to one thread and good naturally rib the other side?

Nice thought, but not many seem to be. Responding to the Giants Thread!

Nice thought, but not many seem to be. Responding to the Giants Thread! I responded to this one because I saw it first. It seemed more inclusive to me. ETA: But I also later responded to the other one.

I see now that it is a general World Series thread, so I apologize for getting handslappy.

OP jumping in... yes I am a Royals fan. Clearly. But I didn't mean for this to be a Royals thread. The Giants have played well, I hope we can turn it around when we get back to KC. I think both teams being Wild Cards have gotten some grief, I read an article recently that stated neither team deserved to be in the World Series. KC going 29 years without a playoff appearance really gets a LOT of grief. The Giants have been to the playoffs and to the World Series... didn't they win a few years ago? It does seem KC is getting a lot of support, but totally as the underdog! Now that MadBum has pitched two great games, they are giving us props. The problem is, he won't start the next two games so it's anyone's to win. I was under the impression that MadBum would pitch game 7 if there was a game 7. I was also under the impression that this was a general thread for the WS started by a Royals fan but that all fans were welcome to jump in an that some good natured ribbing on both sides was expected and anticipated. The Super Bowl usually has one thread with both sides commenting, WS threads in the past have done the same. I didn't really think there needed to be two threads (even though I did reply on the Giants thread also)

I suspect he would be available from the bullpen if needed. But what do I know?

I don't think Madison will start Game 7 on such short rest however, I think since it's Game 7 ( if we even need a game 7), it's all or nothing, so everyone will be available except maybe Peavey since he's pitching today. The bullpen has had a couple days of rest so they are all ready to go if needed. Kershaw pitched on a couple days rest and it was disaster for the Dodgers. GO GIANTS!

That was my most favorite second inning ever! My SIL & BIL are there. People who can actually be at a World Series game are lucky! DH and DS were at a history-making game this year when MadBum and Buster Posey both hit grand slams. Never happened with the *Battery* before. (Pitcher and catcher for you non-baseball geeks.) But they would both give anything to go to a World Series game. So far everything has bounced in the Royals favor and Bochy should have pulled Peavy sooner. Sometimes Bochy is too much the nice guy. I wished he would have put in Timmy instead of Petit. Sure couldn't hurt.

I heard that the Royals sent over 100 employees and a guest to all three games in San Francisco, private jet, tickets to all the games, hotel etc.
Left 10 employees back in KC to mind the shop!
Pretty dang impressive.
Tickets for tonights game were going for $750!

We used to have season tickets and were able to attend a World Series game when the Angels played the Giants in 2002. The energy of the crowd is unreal. I know how the Royals fans are feeling after waiting so long.

This is game fell apart early and I truly believe that play at first when Peavy was motioning to throw home was huge. The Royals were hitting well and definitely earned that win. Curious to see how game 7 goes
