Keeping things really simple for a change! Here's your color scheme: Tuesday card color scheme challenge by jo.blackford, on Flickr white grey pink/purple green GO! If you manage to use all 4 colors and do two tones of green like I did, take an extra point.

joblackford, I love that die you used. It looks like it would be so versatile. What did you use to color in the pink flowers and leaves. And is that Nuvo drops you used on each flower? So pretty. If my mom were still alive, I'd buy one from you. I love this. This is mine. Floral CardsI send a card to my DSIL each week that her husband can read to her over and over. She has Alzheimers. I thought she might like these flowers.

If my mom were still alive, I'd buy one from you. I love this. This is mine. Floral CardsI send a card to my DSIL each week that her husband can read to her over and over. She has Alzheimers. I thought she might like these flowers. Oh, that's beautiful. So sad - Alzheimers is a horrible disease - but a very sweet caring thing for you to do for her (and her husband too - I'm sure he appreciates it) The cards are lovely. I'll pop over to flickr in a bit so I can inspect them close up! All of the color comes from patterned papers. The grey and pink pieces are random papers that a friend gave me, the greens are a double sided cardstock that I inherited from my late MIL's craft stash (one side is the light, the other side dark). I cut this die out of about 5 different papers and I'm mixing and matching them to make multiple cards. I have another version to share once I get the dots on. The little white dots are Nuvo drops, but I'm not brave enough or confident enough in where to put them so I made my own enamel dots on wax paper and I glue them down. I only have white, black and clear so I was happy the white worked on this card. I don't want to collect all the colors! It's a great die - a bit fiddly but not bad, and it has a lot of impact. I'm a bit annoyed that I can't use it for my mother though - she's a MUM not a MOM. I'm going to try doing letter surgery but I won't be able to use the frame piece as it is. Gonna try some Franken-crafting!

joblackford , you mean to tell me you placed each tiny piece of inlay on your card?! You are the Queen. It makes such a beautiful card. I'm sorry you can't use it for MUM. Somehow I think with a little scissor magic you will make it happen.

Somehow I think with a little scissor magic you will make it happen. Yup! I'm crazy. Luckily the design is very symmetrical so if you mix up some pieces you don't have to find exactly where they originally belonged! I usually lay the second color over the top and poke the pieces through onto the glued spaces. It usually works with a little finessing. And I listen to an audiobook while I work!! I'm working on the MUM now.

joblackford, your inlay looks stunning! nylene, your card is lovely, and I was really touched that you do this every week for your DSIL for her to enjoy over and over. kendramage, I love the shading and coloring of both your background and your octopi. That is a very cool card. For once, I am getting mine posted before the last hour of the last day of the challenge. I had a harder time with this color combination than I expected, but I did find papers that finally gave me the idea for this baby girl card:

@kendramage what a fun card! I love the octopuses, and the background is lovely! I’m a huge fan of the pink/purple ocean. scrapnnana such a pretty baby card. I love the colors. The little banner of onesies is so cute and I like the “snuggle” sentiment.

kitbop thanks for playing along! It looks lovely. It doesn’t look like it was hard, but appearances can be deceiving! The colors do look lovely with your photos. I didn’t really think out the color scheme in terms of whether it made any color wheel sort of sense, but green seems like such a neutral color in nature - it goes with all the flower and sky colors, right?! Judging by your page, I think so. I love the mixed media green background you did and how it sort of fades off at the edges. It goes so well with the photo.

Your card is really pretty! I love the flowers. joblackford, I love how bold your card it-I can't believe you pieced that all together-that is a lot of work! scrapnnana I need to make a baby girl card (they are due in June so no hurry) and I may have to use your card as inspiration. So cute! kitbop those colors work so well with your photos! Great LO! Yeah, I am not a fan of "cutesey" animals so much, so my octopus stamp is awesome for me.

here's mine - I couldn't decide for sure if the one stripe was a grey(with hints of brown) or brown (with hints of grey) but I went with grey.

Glad to see that you’re back to crafting and tearing through the challenges! I love your version of the color combo. For some reason I almost never put my sentiment on the left side but looking at your card I’m wondering why not! Do you have a plan for the card?

Thanks joblackford - no specific plan for the card - it might end up in my letter writing box (sadly I'm down to only 4 weekly letters - that's the downside to elderly correspondents ) or it might end up in my (sadly neglected) donation box.
