Today I'm going to make Chicken Florentine. DH will have a salad, as well. The dish has spinach in it, so we'll have plenty of veggies.
What's on your menu?
bc2ca , Wishing you an easy dental day w/o pain.
A big Happy Birthday to our very own scrappert. She always brings kindness to our tribe and I wish scrappert a joyous year, ahead.
In order to nurture myself today I will try and sit at my latest puzzle and work on it for a bit. What will you do? Have a peaceful and easy day. Hugs to all who need them today.

Happy Mardi Gras! Laissez les bon temps rouler! Dinner tonight will be pancakes, bacon/sausage and scrambled eggs.
I'm off to have lunch with a friend, then I plan to go for a mani/pedi afterwards. My foot is finally all better and my toes are in awful shape. Later I'll come home and play in the sewing room some more.

Hi scrapmaven, enjoy your puzzle. Now that I have a craft room, I want to be home enjoying it. Well last night was nice. DH really didn't want the pork tenderloin I had planned. He was hung up on Chinese food. Our favorite restaurant was closed. Yikes! So we went to Panda Express. Then we came home and took dog on a long walk. I had a nice bubble bath and did some reading. Then I sat in my craft room watching Friends and crocheting. Nice evening... So tonight we will try for the pork tenderloin again. And hopefully DH feels like walking again. It's nice to walk with him. It's getting cold again, though, and they are saying 4-7 inches of snow.

I'm about ready to go put on a crockpot of taco soup. Then a little desk clean-up and I think I'll make some time for some reading today. I'm a bit behind on my Goodreads challenge.

Pancakes here today too, with bacon and eggs. I considered doing sweet pancakes instead, but feel more like eating savoury tonight.
I have had a fairly lazy day. Faschingdeinstag is a half day here, so all shops and many businesses shut up at midday or 1pm. I finished sewing up another.cardigan for Sophia - 4 done now, that just need buttons - and have washed it and laid it out to dry. Then I went out for another walk around the cemetery. Unfortunately, it started to spit rain while I was out, so I didn’t go as far as I wanted to.

Happy Birthday scrappertEnjoy your puzzle scrapmavenyay for foot healing **GypsyGirl**jeremysgirl - that sounds like a lovely evening! Good luck with the walk tonight Happy Shrove Tuesday! We're having gluten free pancakes and bacon. I'm missing Paczki this year but while I found a gluten-free recipe, I'm not sure I want to go to all the trouble of a yeast dough and frying doughnuts and ... Scanning more slides today - only 10 boxes to go...

Happy Fat Tuesday to all of you lovely ladies! I completely forgot about pancake dinner for mardi gras. and have planned shrimp, sausage and potatoe boil. But I'll see which DJ would prefer. We can always do the shrimp tomorrow.
I'm working from home today, one of my last days to be able to work remotely and I should be getting a lot of things accomplished, but I'm just feeling lazy. I want to do some grocery shopping and sew. But we will see.
Enjoy your dau ladies!

Not sure about dinner. I have plenty on hand, we'll see what we're hungry for later. Happy Birthday scrappert! We both went to bed very early last night and then both of us were wide awake about 1:30 a.m. DH went out to his studio and did some painting and I got on 2 Peas and surfed around. I finally went to sleep about 4:30 and then had to get up at 5:15. I'll be popping my sleeping pills tonight. Need my beauty rest!!

Hope you are treated like a queen today, scrappert! Yeah for your foot feeling better finally, **GypsyGirl**! jeremysgirl, your evening sounds pretty perfect. DH walked every day with my when we were on vacation but I can rarely get him to tag along at home. I think a stir-fry with udon noodles will be the dinner plan for us tonight.

Happy puzzling scrapmaven I use to put those together with my Gramma. I miss that, but nowhere to work on one in my house where an animal won't destroy it. Furry bastards. Yay for a healing foot **GypsyGirl** and enjoy that mani/pedi that is one of my favorite me time things to do. sueg do you ever see any ghosties or off things on your walks around the cemetary? Tonight is chicken francesca with israeli couscous and some roasted lemon pepper brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Happy Booby Bead Day!

sueg do you ever see any ghosties or off things on your walks around the cemetary? I have not seen any ghosts or seen or heard anything weird on my walks. It is really a lovely cemetery - well kept, with graves that look like little gardens, and lots of beautifully carved headstones. I only walk there during daylight hours though - it might be different after dark, but the cemetery shuts at sunset.

PolarGreen12 I grew up in a house whose backyard butted up against a cemetery. In high school we used to sneak out at night and drink in the cemetery. I can assure you alcohol was the only spirit there.

Hi Everyone! Enjoy your puzzle scrapmaven! scrappert! jeremysgirl Sounds like a wonderful evening. **GypsyGirl** Enjoy your mani/pedi! Today I received a phone call from the school that my son was sick. I ended up bringing him to the pediatrician and to get an X-Ray. (Checking for pneumonia. Thank heaven it’s not that, probably a virus.) I forgot about today being Fat Tuesday. So my dinner plans have changed from Philadelphia cheesesteaks to pancakes with bacon and eggs. That’s why I love coming to this place. I get to celebrate food for all holidays. And I know which ones I’m supposed to be having for dinner! Sending prayers and hugs to all of you!

Tonight will be the "skillet surprise." Burger was not thawed by the time I got home, so we had cheeseburgers. I get a roll of Costco frozen burger patties for quick dinners, as you can just plop them on the pan to cook.
I totally forgot today was Mardi Gras!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday Scrappert!!!
Well dd is sick. Sinus infection. Again. Orders are finally all together and in and I can set up her IVIG infusions tomorrow.
No speech and no home school. Just rest and right now WiiU game play.
I am going to fix the rosemary lemon garlic chicken with potatoes I didn't get to on Monday. We ended up having pasta and dd had breakfast for dinner.

Happy Birthday scrappert!! Enjoy your dinner out and cake! I just put a chicken in the Instant Pot for soup. Ally has a runny nose and has shared her germs...I have a scratchy throat. I bought some skinny German noodles but I doubt they’re as good as the ones lucyg uses. Since I was at the grocery store anyway I bought a loaf of crusty bread that they bake there. In my house we call it “crack bread”.

I think tonight might be a chicken and pasta salad. We will have limited time for me to fix dinner between baseball practice and TKD so I can have that ready to go when we get home from baseball. Happy birthday, scrappert! jeremysgirl, I was so glad to read on the other thread about Jeremy registering to vote for the first time. Go Jeremy!

Happy birthday scrappert! Sounds like you've got a fun night out planned. lucyg Jeremy and both of my kids will be voting this election cycle. My DD was able to vote in 2018 election. DS just turned 18 at the end of 2019. So that's three new voters in this presidential election coming out of my house.

I think the dinner board at home says that we are having shrimp, maybe with fries? I bought some Brussel Sprouts and might try something with those tonight, although dh said he will NOT try them LOL. His mom is famous for boiling the shit out of all vegetables. I finally got dh on board with steamed broccoli and grilled zucchini. Still working on asparagus. LOL
We don't really have a lot of time to do things for self-care during the work week - the best we can do it to try to get to bed a bit early! Stupid snow moving in overnight and all day tomorrow, so while I know I shouldn't complain after a very mild, dry winter, but I'm done with winter!! Bring me sunshine and warm weather!

We have taco salad planned tonight. I'm craving burgers though, reading this thread. Could be a fast food night since tomorrow's Ash Wednesday and I should reel in my poor eating habits and start exercising one of these years. Always start tomorrow or next week.😅 So many things I could be doing to improve myself this lenten season.
