Same as last week...
Amy Klobuchar is the most level headed, as far as speaking, she's not yelling as much as the others.

I think the hosts are worthless. They are jumping all over the place, and yelling just as much as the debaters. I feel others have done a much better job.

It's calmed down now. I just don't know what to think about all of this. I have to vote next week and I don't know who I plan to vote for.

I know who I'm voting for. I'm voting for the person who cuts off the mic when they go over their allotted time limit!

The moderators seem to have finally gotten them under control. I was getting really fed up with Elizabeth Warren cutting in and talking whenever she felt like it. No one will interrupt her like they do the others.
Bloomberg is doing a lot better than last week. His joke fell a bit flat but he is making his points.
The crowd is obviously moderate. They cheer Bloomberg and Biden and boo Bernie. Welcome to Charleston.

Talking over their time and cutting off others is not a good look for anyone.

I said it before "mark my words pete buttigieg will be president some day" I agree, completely. My DS22 said "Too much of America is just too stubborn to see and hear Pete. We deserve the perverted rot we'll end up with; not someone as good and intelligent as Pete, and it fucking sucks."

Ugh. Biden is giving an interview to a CBS host, and he cannot get any details correct.

Got my mail in ballot this week. Voted for Pete. I can’t watch the debates, too stressful and I don’t think anything constructive is coming out of them. I like the suggestion posted on the last thread about having topic specific debates,

I think Warren didn’t help herself tonight. Her attacks on Bloomberg just seem like she can’t let go of stuff. I really didn’t like her throwing out the "kill it" comment, as that has, as far as I know, been a disputed story. She came across as kind of desperate.
Bloomberg did better than last time, but I don’t think he did well enough to persuade anyone.
I hated the yelling and the interrupting and the attacks. I like Amy more and more because she’s calm.

I read seats in that fancy theater went from $1700-3200 each. Explains some of the boos and cheers when your audience is so wealthy.

It's been widely reported that every candidate was given the same # of tickets for the debate.

There was still some fighting but not as vicious as last time. And in just about half an hour or so it died down. Maybe they all got winded. Still too chaotic for my liking because I don’t like this scattershot approach to a debate. Gives me a massive headache.
I think we still have too many candidates. First, any candidate who is not even scoring delegates should drop out now. That means Steyer and Gabbard. Second, I mentioned in another thread that South Carolina is Biden’s do-or-die. If Biden doesn’t do well (meaning first) in the SC primary, he needs to drop out and free up the moderate field to Klobuchar and Buttigieg. Third, Bloomberg is not exciting masses of people, and he’ll always be on the fringes of any debate and really ends up just being a distraction. His money will do a better job if put behind one of the other candidates.
That will leave Buttigieg and Klobuchar in the moderate lane, and Warren and Sanders in the progressive lane. Much more manageable. Then maybe we can allot more time for each candidate to answer questions so we can get to the real substance.
