Today I'm challenging you to use your mixed media to CHANGE something you already have! Change the color, add some sparkle, surprise us with your creativity! For the twist, change two different items using two different techniques. I had grand ideas for this today, but then time got away from me. I changed the "Lovely" rubber embellishment from white to a blue color. There's a lot of different mixed media all over this page too! Week 4 by Boy Mom, on Flickr Week 4 by Boy Mom, on Flickr

I love this challenge! I am always recolouring letter stickers or thickers that don't quite match with pens or paint or Nuvo's. Metal pieces can be recoloured with alcohol inks. Have also muted a vibrant pattern on the background with gesso or paint. Now I want to just get my hands all messy and try them ALL!
And your butterflies in flight are really cool. Will leave love on Flickr.

Here ya go! I played around with gesso and paint and glitter and embossing paste on this page. Actually "messed around", really. I used a chipboard snowflakes as a stencil and then as stamp as I was coating them with paint. Added texture paste and glitter to them as well. Used paint on a foam to edge the pp. Nuvo glitter paste on the icicles. So I think I earned the points for the twist! It's Snow Magic by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I wish my use of mixed media came easy, but it doesn't. I used texture paste through a star stencil on the background and added glitter while it was still wet. I used Walnut crystals dissolved in water to spatter the background, painted the bird and used Distress Oxide peeled paint to get the right color on my journaling card. On Safari

nylene your mixed media results are INCREDIBLE! I can never get those powders to work the way they are supposed to. That background is gorgeous!

I added the red and yellow with Nuvo drops to the curling rocks. It cracked when it dried, but it's still nice and bright. TV Magic

my purple flowers were white until I sprayed them with distress oxide - also used distress oxide on the background.
