As March approached, Donna started a thread called 'Simple Joys.' She wrote, "I have been more mindful of simple joys in my life." So the March Donna challenge is to do a layout about a simple joy in your life. This can be anything, and you get 5 extra points for including the words 'simple joy (s)' Total possible points are 5 for the layout and 5 more points for including the words of the prompt.
Each month the Donna challenge is about getting photos scrapped, so of course there is one point for each photo you get scrapped. This is a point heavy challenge because it gets lost among other challenges, and so the motivation is worth while!

Great prompt, thanks for the challenge! I already have a number of ideas for this one. Coffee is the first thing that springs to mind. (Although I'm sure Donna was talking about more important things than coffee!! )

Thanks, myboysnme ! Such a thoughtful challenge. I think this will work well with my ME album I am [slowly] working on. My dd is working on her PhD, and has been reading alot of philosophy. We just had a long conversation about the need to stop and appreciate where we ARE in the middle of striving to GET somewhere. She has all kinds of fancy words for the different philosophical positions on this, but I am all for looking for Simple Joys... Maybe I should make her a little wall hanging for behind her desk...

Although I'm sure Donna was talking about more important things than coffee!! She named a few things and I believe coffee definately fits her vision!

Can we translate "simple joy" to another language for the bonus points? It's commonly referred to as a "petite joie" (small joy) in French.
So looking forward to embracing Donna's challenge as my main vector for March. Life is made up of such a dense fabric of mostly small things. I don't want to lose these to time passing or lack of focus.

I have another LO with pics from this same day, and will use the words simple joy on the next LO.

Can't get much simpler than getting this much joy out of an egg carton! These papers are some of my all time favorites.
