This is our final Friday challenge so we are doing E from our L.O.V.E. Inspiration. Today is all about efficiency. Taking a little time for the craft we love and using it wisely to get a project done.
Your challenge is to create a project in 30 min or less. You get 15 minutes to gather supplies before you begin. You can gather your supplies and go right into designing or you can do them in 3 different installments. 15 min to gather. Then another time 30 minutes to design.
The twist is to create a double page layout in 30 min. For 3 extra points. Or if you are doing cards do 4 cards for the 3 points. If you are working on another project you can decide what the equivalence is for that.
Some tips for organizing before you start:
-use a sketch! - limit your supplies to take less time making decisions. - use photos or supplies you love as they will inspire you and make things quicker. - get the basics on your layout before embellishing. - have fun!

Two pages in 33 minutes: but I took a phone call in the middle of construction, so I am totally claiming the TWIST. Just wondering about scoring, DawnMcD. Challenge + twist is normally 5. Do I get 8 for this? 1st year of hockey by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Not sure if this is efficiency or not. Just finished the 2nd HOCKEY LO for ONE of the nine dgk's who played this year. (Had the papers, hockey embellies and the photos on my desk when I opened your challenge this morning, so decided to go with this). Does that mean I have to do two double pagers for each of the others...?

I am not sure the scoring answer so I am saying sure to the 8 lol. And I am not sure about what you mean about others being double page. Sorry. However I think 33 min is efficient! Great job

No, I didn't need an answer from you on that comment. Just in my Gramma-needs-to-be-fair brain, I am thinking if THIS kid gets two double pagers, then each of the others should get two as well. Had been planning to shrink this to ONE double LO each for hockey, but I definitely have the photos and the supplies to double that, so it will probably happen anyway...

Boy, this was a hard challenge! Last summer I bought a Miss Kate cut file of ice cream cones, sundaes, etc and made up 5 paper piecings to use on my Cousin Camp pages. I don't know what I was thinking, because they were WAY too big to fit on 8.5x11 with lots of photos. So I carefully put them in an envelope and put them away in a "special place". At our house, "special place" often means never seen again!. So when I ran on to 2 photos of the grands eating ice cream, I remembered the pieces and started hunting. It took every minute of my 15 min "gather time" to find them. They are large, but I used 2 of them.I started working on my layout at 2 pm and still had to find and match papers, but I finished at 2:27. Of course, no twist, because I was lucky to finish one page. In fairness, I did add the BR for Baskin Robbins a couple of hours later because that corner needed something. I hope it counts to use already made pieces, but I thought it would be the same as using Jolee's or other already made pieces. Here's the Scoop

Here's my double page. I used AussieMeg 's sketch and the Happiness collection by Paper Phenomenon. After my 15 minutes of printing photos and gathering, I still barely finished in time. Wonder
