Whoop whoop...look at me starting a scrapbooking thread on the scrapbooking forum!
I normally hang out at NSBR but I'm dipping my toe in the dark side
I'm enjoying making albums with a mix of all different configurations of pocket pages, mixed with traditional 12x12 LOs. I normally scrap 6x4 and need a good source of inspiration, and have been flicking back through my (very substantial) pile of Creating Keepsakes magazines. Do you all look through your old stash of magazines, or so you get all your inspiration from the internet now? I feel I need a good source of sketches for multiple 6x4 photo LOs on 12x12, as I'm not really a single photo LO sort of a scrapper, and I can't always seem to get what I am after in my old magazines. At best, I might find one page that I feel I can lift. I do love Shimelle's blog, and loved the Glitter Girl videos, but don't find it that easy to see what I want at a glance with one easy to access gallery.
Where do you all go looking?

I don't really look for inspiration very often, but when I do, I use the Internet mostly. I also have a file folder in my computer with images of project ideas that I saved from Two Peas. Occasionally I pin pages and ideas I like to my Pinterest boards, although I don't really look at them very often, either. I ripped out the pages I liked from my old CK magazines, but I never really look through the binders with those pages.
Mostly I get my inspiration from my pictures and my supplies. Inspiration from outside sources can be helpful once in awhile, but most of the time it is faster for me to create a page with what I already have on hand than if I go looking for inspiration from other sources first. I'm a slow scrapper, but trying to rely on other sources for ideas tends to make the process even slower for me. It also seems to make me more inclined to go shop for trendy new art supplies than to actually scrap my pictures.

I also don't really look for inspiration, but I do love to peruse a scrapbook magazine, even older ones. There is one facebook site called Scrapbook 24/7 and I love most of the layouts that pop up on my feed, but the only thing I was inspired to do was to get out my old Coluzzle and make some large circles to use on the background. It felt really fun to get out that old tool and try to incorporate the circles on my layout.

I'm a sketch girl myself - I have the old Becky Higgins sketches and Creative Companion books as well as the Deluxe Cuts template book and the Pages by Design idea book but I also have a index card file (yes, I know...old school) where I keep sketches I've found in old magazines or online or sketched myself from a layout I saw.
I flip through that index box most of the time - I sort by number of photos because that's what works for me. If I'm not finding anything that speaks to me, that's when I pull out one of the books and flip through it instead.
I do like looking through old magazines but that's more to get me in the mood to scrap than for direct inspiration most of the time

I know what you mean about doing something to get in the mood to scrap. I hadn't done any for ages, but have been watching a couple of folk I subscribe to on YouTube, and their process videos have got me back in the swing of things.

PageMaps.com comes to mind, but I'm not sure that it is sorted by number of photos...I haven't been on there in awhile.

I don't even have any old mags in my house anymore, and I subscribed to almost all of them. I pin layouts I like and refer to them often. I agree the internet is the way to go. I get a lot of inspiration on blogs too.

I almost always need to find inspiration to scrap, I scrapbook 6x4 and single page layouts mostly. I recently went looking for inspiration in old scrapbook (Creating Keepsakes) magazines and while I was able to get a few bits of inspiration here and there, I found most of the layouts were multiple photo (not 4x6) layouts and most often they were 2 page layouts. My primary source for inspiration is Pinterest and I recently discovered Let's Get Sketchy letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com which I am finding HUGELY inspirational.

Thanks. I'm now following that board.
I used to love Corrie Jones's blog...love, love, love her style, but her blog has been removed.
I subscribe to Nicolejones911 and Mercytiara on You tube. Who else should I be watching for process videos?

I would also recommend Scrapbook Generation. They have a free digital magazine that has amazing inspiration and sketches.

On YouTube I am really enjoying watching Sarah Swann, she does nice and simple layouts.

I have to have inspiration to start a layout. It always goes its own way but, I have to have an idea to start. I scrap 8.5x11 so lots of the sketches and layouts don't work for me because I scrap pretty much 4x6 photos. I love the old magazines because they contained a lot of 8.5x11 the farther back you go. But mostly I just go to my Pinterest board where I've pins tons and that gets me started.
