AussieMeg, @eddie-n-Harley, sleepingbooty, teacherlisa, nylene , gmcwife1, jeremysgirl, christinec68, @antel97701, grammadeeHappy March y'all! (OK, I would NEVER use the term "y'all" IRL. It would feel like I was appropriating someone else's slang/accent. And yet, online and in e-mail it comes naturally to me when casually addressing a group? Just had to get that off my chest. Y'all ) I'm heading into March with a spring in my step and hope that my mojo will flow with the melting snow. What are your plans this month? We have our first dance competition next weekend and I'm SO EXCITED because it will be my first time seeing my DD's numbers this year. She has a song and dance solo (she sings. I'm nervous) and a ballet solo, plus 5 other group numbers. Yes, she's an expensive kiddo But scrapbook fodder! Speaking of which - what photos or events do you tend the scrap the most? Yes, for me it's my DD. My DS's are older and less into activities. One can only scrap computers and video games so much! I do feel frequently guilty about this. I really hope to keep up with the chit chat this month! I realized last night how much I lean on this group for scrappy, and moral, support!

I got up today, drank coffee, and did yoga. Then I went running. I'm hitting the shower then the craft room. Over coffee this morning I was organizing pictures. I need to place an order.

Hello everyone! So glad to finally have found my scrappy mojo again... It only took me until right about the last week of February! I'm currently at home sick (nothing bad but annoying enough to stay in, especially since I'm right next to the European coronavirus epicentre, yikes). Plans for March are to finalise preparing to host the big 2PR crop next weekend, place a photo order, start my 2020 Project Life (probably 3x8 format) with my new Kelly Purkey products that are on the postal way to me, take some photos of early spring outside and make some cards, especially a birthday card that I'll need in a few weeks' time. Hoping everyone's well and the major winter illnesses are behind us all (soon, anyway)!

jeremysgirl - good for you on the run/yoga so early! It's 10am here, and I can "feel" that DH and I are purposefully not mentioning the word "gym" to each other... sleepingbooty - I'm MAJORLY sulking that I'll be away for the 2 peas crop. It's my favourite. I have a few hours friday morning before we leave and I'll try to play a bit then. My SIL just cancelled her March trip to South Korea. No brainer if you ask me, but she actually hemmed and hawed about cancelling!

Good morning, DIVA's! Thanks, kitbop , for setting up the chat thread. No running or yoga around here either. Just hanging out in the living room, looking at the gloomy day outside and Curling on TV. jeremysgirl, you sound like you are having an invigorating day. Have fun in the craft room! So sorry your February was such a bust in many ways, sleepingbooty , and that you are not feeling well today. But YAY for found mojo! Hoping it carries you past the germs and into a fun crop weekend! I need to make a birthday card for my dgd who will turn 14 next week. Need to mail the card Tuesday when I am in town. I am feeling guilty b/c I didn't pick up a gift for her and it is getting late to have it mailed to her on time. Found something on Amazon this morning and sent a quick text to her mom to see if I should order it to be sent direct. My craft room is a disaster zone. Again. I usually stick to one theme when I am scrapping a bunch of pages, but this last week I have been doing Valentines and Hockey and winter outdoor play and... So a number of bins have exploded all over the place. And now I need to find the birthday stuff which is underneath it all... As for the rest of the month, I hope to have time to play during the 2PR crop. I need to find a sketch and scrap a sample for Sketchy Saturday on the 7th, and need to figure out how to host a Hangout on Saturday. Hoping lots of people can join me. And is it sad that I am looking forward to the 12th & 13th when Dh will be gone to an agricultural conference for TWO WHOLE DAYS? That will be MY personal March crop! Just me in here in my pj's... Saying "HI!" to all the DIVA's and wishing everyone a crafty March!

I got four done and I think it's crochet for me for the rest of the night. I made a damn big mess. My last layout was Christmas. And man if I don't have a million Christmas photos. I hate scrapbooking Christmas. So I think I hit the wall.

@eddie-n-Harley, @antel97701, Yeah I found the thread, hope the other Pea does too. Simple typo I"m sure. March is still in the middle of MS wrestling season. We have two more weekends, that is if DS qualifies for state competition. In Oregon there is one for ALL middle schoolers, not dependent on school size. Last weekend was HS state, the seasons don't run exactly concurrently. So with that I won't have time to join the 2PR crop until Sunday!I scrap mostly boy events for my two boys. Football or soccer, wrestling, track or lacrosse. There are also legos, water sports, kite flying, model building, just to name a few. For myself I've been scrapping some of our travels with DH or my cruise that I went on for my 60th birthday last November. This morning I was up took the walk with the doggies (we have four German Shepherds) and did poop patrol out in our field. A necessary evil of owning four big dogs. Brushed 2 of the 4, then did some indoor chores. Meet with my personal trainer and had a great work out, then home for more chores. DH took me to lunch as there was a fundraiser out a sandwich shop for a local school music program today, you know where they donate 15% of your order. I listed a dresser on Craigs list and someone came to look and bought it for the asking price! Yeah! Packed a care box for DS#1 with freeze dried meals and frozen banana bread. Took it to the PO and had a bit of frustrating stop there. Stopped in at Kohl's and did some clothing retail therapy, found some nice spring pieces to spice up the work wardrobe. Home to meet the vet, one of the doggies needed her Rabies shot. Not normally a house call but my vet borrows my whelping box for when her labs whelp litters so she stopped by to pick up the whelping box. I used to breed my GSD hence the reason why I still have four! Finally time to fix dinner and do a load of laundry. So a very full day, but no crafting, now I'm here on the computer! Too tired to think!

Hi friends I will be working on more cards this month. Though I don’t think I’ll be able to make as many as last month. I’m feeling a little burn out I’m also going to a scrapbooking retreat for three days. Sadly I’m much less productive when I’m with my friends. And the first day is all about unpacking at the retreat and the third day is about packing up and heading home. Then that next day I have an all day dog training seminar. I’m really looking forward to it and typing that out reminds me, I need to get working with my dog

gmcwife1 angel97701 - cool, 2 doggie people I've always had dog(s). Larger dogs before kids, but now we've gone small (she's 25 lbs, not a chihuahua) because of the crowded factor of our house and our time constraints. Easier to pack a small dog up and take her with us, then try to find time to exercise a large dog before you go out. My oldest DS desperately wants a large dog - loves German Shepherds and Huskeys both. I've told him he has to move out first angel97701, Eddie-n-Harley, I'm so sorry I didn't tag you correctly! Glad you found your way in angel97701. I have finally memorized the numbers in your tag...frustrating that I spelled "angel" wrong jeremysgirl, I get burned out on Christmas so darned fast. So why are the products so appealing, and the scrapping not? I have not figured that one out.

I get burned out on Christmas so darned fast. So why are the products so appealing, and the scrapping not? I have not figured that one out. It's my very least favorite thing to scrap. The pictures are terrible always because I would rather enjoy myself than take pictures. There are too many people that you feel like need to be included. I am not a fan of doing double page layouts but the sheer volume of pictures almost requires it. The kits are pretty. But the cuteness of kits isn't enough to make me want to scrap it.

kitbop The numbers are my zip code! Working Wed-Fri and have super busy evenings on Wed & Friday. So taking today to get some more chores done. Costco run (hope the lines are shorter!), and Post Office. Misc chores but hopefully some crafting too? gmcwife1 You are really going strong on the cards! Good for you. Where do you send your cards, I might join you. jeremysgirl I totally get that about scrapping Christmas for the same reason. I am a two page scrapper so I now limit myself to ONE layout per Christmas! grammadee You are always so productive both scrapping and helping keep us together here on 2PR! A big thanks! I'm sure DGD will appreciate her present/card whether it is exactly on time or not!
sleepingbooty So where are you in Europe? Stay in and get healthy. Colds and flu are the pits and cornavirus fits that category.

Costco run (hope the lines are shorter!) Apparently COVID-19 is the zombie apocalypse we've been waiting for, because costco is *completely* sold out of tissues, toilet paper, and paper towel here. Our household is out of TP, and I'm really attached to my costco TP too! I hope they get more in. And I hope people aren't too stupid about this bug! Now I'm tempted to purchase 2 or 3 packs of TP next time it's available, but that just makes it worse for the next poor person who is out of TP! My Samoyed Ryder in the back, our dd’s GSD Nita on the left, and dh’s GSD puppy front and center And love that they are snuggling! The EARS on the PUPPY, what is not to love.

gmcwife1 You have as much fur in your house as we do! Two of my GSDs are shedding right now. Almost done blowing their winter coats I think? My one sable female get a white ruff and looks like a sun bear when she blows her coat I will have to take a photo to share. The puppy! He's got some personality. Your DD's GSD is very similar to my Red/Tan female. She was to be my new breeder but failed her hips. Made me sad, but I am about breeding quality AKC puppies that have good hips & elbows. Funny thing is, her parents were fine. Go figure! So out of the breeding business for now, as 4 is enough!

I didn’t realize you had GSDs! Our 8 yr old is a nervy byb GSD. But we were blessed with a fabulous trainer in 4-H that helped our dd turn her into a really nice dog. She’s such a serious dog she started going grey at two and is now grey all over! Our puppy is from Oregon, Grothaus K9 Working GSDs. He’s a lot of dog but I really liked what I saw of this breeder and her program. I was really impressed with her contract too. Now I just need to get us back into obedience class! And you are right, he is full of personality! He was supposed to be dhs dog, but it looks like I now have a Samoyed and a GSD Opps, cards for Soldiers They send cards to the troops to use to send back to their loved ones. So we make and send blank cards for them to use. We can also make and sign cards thanking the troops for their service, I just haven’t done that yet

Happy March y'all! (OK, I would NEVER use the term "y'all" IRL. It would feel like I was appropriating someone else's slang/accent. And yet, online and in e-mail it comes naturally to me when casually addressing a group? Just had to get that off my chest. Y'all ) I use y'all a LOT on here, and I have come to love it! There are times when no other word or phrase works as well as y'all. I don't use it IRL because people here would look at me like I was some kind of freak haha! I haven't quite moved onto "all y'alls" yet, but maybe one day.... Talking about slang and y'all.... Do people there say "youse" as an alternative to "you guys" or "you all" ? Or is it just Australian slang? As in "What are youse doing tonight?" I saw a post on Facebook today, where a woman (she's Australian) wrote "What are use doing?" I nearly fell off my chair. Not only did she use a terrible slang word, she didn't even spell it correctly!

Woohooo, the layer for my Taylored Expressions saying strips will be here before the weekend! I don’t like not having a layer on my saying strips. They look great unlayered on other people’s work, but feel naked on mine Others can also quickly and easily snip flags, I can’t But now I don’t have to free hand them

I can totally hear that being said in a Chicagoan accent! 😆 Yous/youse - we even spell our slang words differently! We add an ‘e’ on the end. But I think we can agree it is definitely NOT spelled ‘use’.

I work with one person who uses "youse" all the time, and it sounds so odd here, uncommon. She isn't from New York or Australia either gmcwife1, I saw those strip layers, and they cost significantly more than the strips die...for no reason I can see ?!? That annoyed me!

I noticed the same thing and agree with you If I could trim a good or even decent fishtail I would not have gotten them. They were delivered today and I already used them to back some of my precut sentiments. So I guess if I use them a lot I won’t feel to bad about the price

He was supposed to be dhs dog, but it looks like I now have a Samoyed and a GSD I know of Grothaus K9 in Prinville. We are on a GSD breeders group on FB. They have great dogs! Enjoy puppyhood and remember the crate is your friend! Yep, dogs pick their person.
Long day today. Sub job in Math and scored tallied for them while "baby sitting" self-directed classes. Did get released early so I met my personal trainer for a good workout. Home and then to family counseling session for DS#2. Finally home and time to write an email to DS's teachers and principal. The principal called me during the day & fortunately it was when I had a prep period, so I talked with him for about 30 minutes while on my walk.
Time for bed for me!
As for youse or yous, nope don't say that here in Oregon, nor do you hear y'all much either. Nor fixin' to do (fill in the blank). DH is from North Dakota, and that is a sing songy accent. Closer to Canada it's the "eh" at the end of every sentence. Not really much of an accent here in Oregon at all. At least that is what we think!

Our boy is from their Amy and Ronin C litter. I wanted a pup from that pair last time, but it wasn’t the right time for us. But when she did the repeat breeding I didn’t want to miss our chance! This is my goofball Samoyed in our older GSDs crate! We definitely crate train, otherwise we couldn’t do dog sports Or have a safe home for a puppy! We feed in their crates and then move to right outside their crates. Everyone has their own spot. Dh is from New York, his mom said yous often My stepdad is from North Carolina and says fixin I agree that those of us from Oregon and Washington, are pretty sure we don’t have an accent

I guess it’s a good thing the dogs woke me up early this morning, I was able to play before leaving for date night with dh. It also helped that I prepped a lot for the crop. I got more done than I thought I would. We’ll be home tomorrow and I hope I can get to my room for a few hours. I can’t believe how much I miss this little stinker, since he isn’t even my dog And of course I miss my dirty boy!
