Holy moly!!! March is running away from me!!! SO sorry this is so late! Welcome to monthly Sketch/Scraplift challenge! Each month, I will post both a sketch, and a LO for you to lift, or draw inspiration. I'll be including something for both 1 page scrappers, as well as 2 page scrappers, and some of the LO's can be modified to fit either one. I like seeing the creativity of changing them up! I think it will be fun to see what you pick, or if you decide to do both! As you know, in scraplifting/using sketches, your LO's can end up looking exactly like the inspiration piece, or you can let your creativity run wild! These are just jumping off points to get you rolling. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Have fun, and link your LO's back to this thread so that we can all see your piece of art and give you some lovin'! grammadee

Ooooh I love that first sketch, I’m definitely going to use that one. And this is sooooo funny..... I was going to use that second sketch for a Sketchy Saturday this month!! I found it online a week ago and I have already made a digital template out of it! 😆

Thanks for the sketches, KikiPea. Hoping to use the two page plan for one of the hockey LO's I want to put together this weekend. Have it printed, and the papers selected. It is getting harder and harder to find "new" sketches, isn't it, AussieMeg? I found one I really liked for Saturday and then thought "wait a minute..." I had used that sketch for a sketchy Saturday a few months ago! Of course a sketch can be interpreted in alot of ways. The one I WILL be using, I "flipped horizontally" for my LO. Now THAT might be a TWIST in the future: use this sketch but rotate or flip it...

It is getting harder and harder to find "new" sketches, isn't it, AussieMeg ? It sure is! That's why for a lot of my sketches last month, I just found layouts I liked and then turned them into sketches.

That’s why I had asked about doing this challenge. There are SO many sketch challenges now. I think if I do continue this, I’ll try just scraplifts, but not many are doing those. What do y’all suggest? grammadeeAussieMeg

I love both sketches and scraplifts, so I'm happy to have both. The things that draw me to a LO to scraplift is first and foremost the colours, so if the colours don't grab me, I often don't (can't) see past them to get to the rest of the good stuff like the design. If there are other people like me, maybe that's why they don't do the scraplifts.
As far as I'm concerned, you can never have too many sketches. If someone ends up using a sketch we've already had, and it's one that I like, then I will use it again - and the bonus for me is that I can just go into my original layout, delete the photos and papers, and voilà, a ready made template!

Here’s my take on the lift. Heart & Hustle by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I like both sketches and scraplifts, but don’t always get to all of them in a month, especially a busy one like last month. Like AussieMeg , I see different things in each. I often see the specific products and lines and colours in the lifts. Thanks so much for providing so much for all the inspiration every month, KikiPea .

And here is my take on the first sketch. I can see myself using this one over and over.
