Here is your sketch for the first Saturday in March. It is an old one from Scrapbooks Etc magazine. I am scrapping hockey so I was drawn to the stars on the pages, but you could really choose ANY shape and create a border with different sizes and colours of it. Sketchy Saturday 07-03-20 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr You may choose to do both pages, like I did, or you may prefer to use just one of them as your jumping off point. I was thinking the left page would make a great card sketch, as well. Here is my take on the sketch. I combined this challenge with sleepingbooty 's Saturday MEGAAAAcrop challenges to (1) use a brush in some way (I brushed on transfer gel and then foiled with silver in the Minc), (2) use metallics (I used metal foil I have had in my stash FOREVER to cut the stars), and (3) honour the god, MARS, who would have loved hockey, I think. Wasn't he the god of war and all round competition? Silver, Baby! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This is about a grand DAUGHTER's hockey adventures. I have 9 dgk's who play hockey. My plan is to complete TWO 2-page LO's for each for this season. So far, I have the two done for one kid, and one each for 3 more of them. Still alot of hockey to scrap for me... But you crafty people can take this sketch any way you like! To play along, just create something inspired by this sketch, and share it in this thread. You do NOT need to be a Team member to play, but if you are, you will earn one point for meeting this challenge. Can't wait to see what you create with it!

Great sketch! I was also drawn to the stars running down the left hand side of the page. I agree with you that any shape would work well. Hmmmm, maybe I'll do something different, and use flowers! Your take on the sketch is gorgeous, I love the metallics!

grammadee, great sketch and take. I adore the foil/metal in the different colors and the swoops of paint that mimic the movement on the ice. Really gorgeous layout.

This is my take on the sketch. I also went with a sporting theme, so I used stars as well.

Love your take on the sketch, AussieMeg! Perfect use of those team colours, and I love the different texture of the stars!
