Check out the pool supply aisle at Lowe’s, Walmart, Target, etc.. They sell gallon jugs of liquid chlorine for sanitizing the pool. I wouldn’t use it for laundry without more research, but if you want to sanitize surfaces, it should work.
I bought the 4 gallon I need to open my pool in May before everyone else figured this out LOL. If we are still “social distancing” in May, you better believe I want my pool for entertainment!

Costco had no bleach but they had Lysol toilet bowl cleaner on sale. I bought that. It kills 99.9% of germs so it’s just as good as bleach. I can put some in water to thin down or pour it directly on a rag or in the sink. Just use gloves. It’s pretty caustic but effective.

Granulated pool shock can also be used to make liquid chlorine bleach, and has a shelf life of about 10 years. Liquid chlorine bleach starts to degrade relatively quickly. There is lots of information about making liquid bleach out of pool shock on the internet, just make sure you have the right stuff and are very safe. I do keep a small quantity of liquid bleach in my home, but I primarily use Oxi-clean for laundry. I do also have a small bag of pool shock ‘cause you never know... .

Also check out the dollar stores in your area. The 99 Cent store in my city had plenty of bleach, paper towels, and toilet paper when I went there to check for hand sanitizer. They were out of the sanitizer and their toilet paper I purchased to make paper clay a few months ago is very poor quality for using in the bathroom. I mean, it will work, but you need multiple layers because it is so thin and it would be pretty scratchy. I decided against getting it in the hopes of finding a preferred brand elsewhere.
