I get it - truly I do. So many are facing unemployment and my heart aches. But for god's sake if I get one more facebook or email donation request my head is going to actually explode. ALL DAY LONG. Most of the organizations I've supported have sent no fewer than a dozen requests TODAY. Add on the individuals who are also asking for support....I'm tapped out.

Wow, I don't think I have had one. I do have two emails and one gets more of this kind of stuff than the other.

I haven’t seen any of that either. I’ve seen a lot of offers to “let me know if you need help”.

Is it for your work or personal? I've had zero. We have 4 businesses.

I have. Donors Choice is asking for donations as a group thing for teachers who need supplies for kids who have little or nothing at home to move forward! Feeding America. Forget what else.

Seriously? I'm surprised it's not more widespread. I'm extremely involved in our local pantry, so not surprised about that, but it's truly a small part of my day. I've given to a few local homeless/emergency shelter which also asked, but truly the biggest was the local arts community. It's been overwhelming, and not in a good way. I not only buy tickets, but also support, and truly get that this is stressful time, but I just looked and it's more than a dozen emails and probably twice that in social media. I guess I'm "glad" that it's local.

I haven't had any.
We did make a donation to Second Harvest and buy gift cards to a favorite family owned restaurant.

Zero requests on FB for me.
TOTALLY unrelated: I did donate (before this virus thing started) for Grandma and Ginga (105 and 101 year old sisters) on Kickstarter for their short documentary to be able to finish before one of the gals die before it is finished. I love them.. and I NEVER donate to things like this.. lol

Many of our local restaurants are supplying free meals to students since the schools are mclosed. We are urged on Facebook to support those restaurants but I have not received a personal request for money from any group.

I haven’t seen any of that either. I’ve seen a lot of offers to “let me know if you need help”. This is my experience.

Business and personal all I've gotten sre the covid-19 safety practices. Especially business, the oilfield is all about their OH&S. They were all over you updating your safety manual.

We have gotten probably 8 requests in the past week. A couple were from Boards we serve on & their scheduled fundraiser/benefit events have been canceled. One was from a food pantry. A couple were from shelters we support looking for things they cant find in stores: Lysol, bleach.

I haven't gotten emails but seen a lot of requests on FB. I am happy to donate where I can, especially to support people and small businesses in my community. The only one that really enraged me was the fundraiser for WHO on FB where FB is matching the first $10M of donations. They could easily give $20M outright.

I have had one request in a newsletter I get for a local Senior agency. They are having to increase their Meals on Wheels deliveries since we are in a shelter in place area, which means more $$ needed so I donated. And of the cuff, I decided to donate back the cost of two cancelled theater tickets to the non-profit that was hosting the show. When the ticket agent called I told her I would like to donate the money back instead of getting a refund, she was quiet then kind of stuttered her thanks. Guess not many folks are doing this!
