Does anyone else watch films and tv shows and cringe when someone shakes hands, hugs or kisses someone else? It looks so weird and wrong now! Soap operas are starting to seem surreal also, with people all together sitting in pubs and bars. And no one is talking about loo roll, or lack of ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) No one is getting their hand sanitizer out either! What a different world we now live in!

No but I think it’s very odd when I watch an old movie and I see people sitting at an office desk with a cigarette and an overflowing ashtray! Glad those times are gone.

Watching the today show. People are sitting close and hugging and constantly touching and I’m thinking really now. Sit further apart.
Feeling better it was previously recorded.

I've also noticed that some TV ads are incongruous at the moment - ads for tea "Pop round to a friend and share a cuppa", travel and holiday ads etc.

I mentioned on another thread the Old Navy commercials with Neil Patrick Harris getting all up in people's faces and how uncomfortable it makes me! Back off, Neil! :-D

Yes a commercial came on and people high fived and my knee jerk reaction was to cringe and think no don’t do it. Then my dh and I laughed about my reaction. Sad new perspective on everyday life.

Yes! Me and the kids are sitting on the couch yelling 'corona' every time someone hugs or shakes hands or something on tv now. We adjusted to the 'no touching' rules REAL quick apparantly. I wonder how long it will take after this pandemic for things to go back to the way they were a few weeks ago. Or will we forever be wary of hugging and shaki g hands now?

I would say I would wonder if anything about Corona will appear on tv shows but I don't think they are filming right now. I know Netflix announced they have stopped all production.

I was watching QVC (shopping channel) and they are standing 6ft apart and not shaking hands. That also looks silly but has quickly become the norm.

Isn't odd how quickly this has become the norm for us? I went to the neighborhood pharmacy today to pick up a prescription and customers kept their distance from each other not only in line, but when passing each other in an aisle.
When I checked out up front the 2 cashiers were working right next to each other. One long counter with probably 6-7 registers. I suggested that they put at least 1 register between the two of them, not just for themselves, but for their customers. The lady in front of me was probaby 75 and we were maybe 3 feet from each other. And as they finished up with her that cashier did move one spot further away from my cashier. I never do/say stuff like that because I don't want to be THAT customer....but it seemed like such a no brainer, KWIM?

It is amazing how quickly we adapt to change and also how lucky we all are to have the internet so we can still connect with others whilst in isolation.

Yes! I was reading and in the book they were talking about going out to shop for shoes. I thought why are they shopping! Why isn't the store closed.
