Last night a Facebook friend was complaining about "going to three stores and still not finding tater tots" so she had to improvise. Um...you should have improvised after you didn't find them at the first store. Or better yet, make something that you already have at home. It isn't the time to be shopping around for things that are not necessary. That made me laugh. I have a friend complain on fb that she has had a cough for 3 weeks and today can't be seen by a dr. I almost a week in. I've got to say, the coughing does suck. At least my fever and fatigue is gone and my pulse ox is back above 90. I didn't try to go to the dr (although he would have gotten me in) because I figure he had enough to deal with.

I do hope your cough gets better. I heard on the radio that one hospital near me was increasing it's doctor online/video appointment thing. I just wasn't sure how well that was going. Is something like that available for you? My friend didn't see this as an option either so I'm just trying to wrap my brain around this whole thing. Best wishes to you tho!

I have an in house respiratory therapist who I make listen to my lungs. They've cleared up in the last couple of days. I figure he knows when there is an isssue. We also have some cough syrup with codeine to help me sleep and I take musinex d or other cough syrup during the day.

Sorry, but another vent from me! My 17 yr. old was just saying last night that her one friend was at a party, and it was on her snapchat story. I guess a lot of our high school kids seem to be having parties since schools are closed. Why are these parents letting these kids gather together with everything going on? Groups of kids, alcohol involved probably. School is closed, so they just want to be with friends all day long. And everything is closed, so parents are home. The frustration is going to give me chest pains! I thought we were supposed to be social distancing!

My son's closing day on his house just got moved up. The closing company is afraid they will be closed down soon. I really hope they stay open through Monday, but it is what it is. People (including businesses) all need to do what they think is best. This is spreading quickly and people need to be proactive. Congrats on your son buying a home. I hope it all can be finalized soon.

I'm pissed. My mom went shopping this morning during the senior hours. She's immuno-compromised. Her friend saw her at the store, grabbed her from behind, spun her around and kissed all over her face. They don't even usually greet this way. My mom said, "so much for social distancing." The friend says, "oh I don't care about that!" GRRRRRR. Well, my mom DOES! I wish I would have been there to say something!

My niece is an ICU nurse. She says it’s worse than media reports. Talk within the hospitals is very alarming. She is begging everyone to stay home. This my partner's niece is a nurse in San Francisco, and my exhusband is a respiratory therapist in the Sacramento area. He said when he goes back to work in four days it's going to be a war zone.

Especially with what is going on makes it worse. I'm so sorry, and I hope your mom is okay. Her "friend" aka assaulter is why this keeps spreading to others. You really see the stupidity in the world these days.

I was in a supermarket very early this morning. I needed milk and eggs and planned to be in and out as quickly as possible. I was at a self scanning checkout and the guy next to me was confused why only two of the ten packets of spaghetti he had were scanning. I told him that people were limited to two packets each. He looked at me and asked why. (How clueless!) I answered it was to stop people buying more than they needed. He looked puzzled and again asked why. When I pointed out that one person buying ten packets of pasta meant that nine people couldn’t buy any, he muttered something under his breath and literally flounced out without buying any. A staff member came over to remove his basket and sighed that it was going to be a long long day.

I have two examples of poor judgment:
I live in a planned community. The houses are detached with very small yards. I saw my neighbor walking around the common roadway and overheard her talking on the phone about how she is sure that she and her two young daughters have the virus but can't get tested. Then I saw her daughters in their pajamas riding their scooters around the complex where other children were playing.
Our cafeteria at work has modified their service to protect us from the virus where you put in your order on a paper form and then hand it to the cashier. The cashier, who handles money but doesn't wear gloves, then goes and retreives the food for you. I was horified when I saw her pick up the empty soup containers and lids and hand them to the cook (who did wear gloves) to fill them.

Including my Governor! We have the highest deaths in the USA and he still won't make the state shelter in place! Just watched his ignorant news conference this afternoon and he says he's worried about the economic problems citizens are facing. Well, you're going to have less citizens to pay the damn taxes if we all freaking get sick and die! The count today went up in both cases and deaths! I'm beyond irritated. I work for a small business and it could really harm us to have to shut down, but geez, I don't want to get sick! WE ARE ABSOLUTELY NON ESSENTIAL! We just keep on adding people to our schedule. People are bored sitting home with the kids so they are taking them to a popular hiking area right next to us. When they are done, they see we are open and they come on in to see "what we do, because they've never been in before". So kids running around our showroom touching everything and parents doing the same. I'm so frustrated. Glad it's Friday so I can go home and hide for the weekend.

I work in a GPs' practice. In one surgery we've put tape on the floors and have used the chairs to arrange barricades to keep people 2 metre from the counter. On Wednesday we tried about 4 different configurations. They have been walking around the chairs, leaning over them, pulling them out and sitting on them, letting their kids climb on them, dumping their bags on them. Seriously people, why do you think they are there, for decoration?
In the other surgery where I work, there is a fluorescent yellow 8.5 x 11" sign in a plastic stand asking people to stand back and not lean on the counter for their protection. Every last person has leaned through the hatch. I started just giving them a big smile and pushing the sign under their noses.
Our paramedic developed a fever of 102 after working in our little office (with me) all morning. {sigh} Of course it could be anything, not necessarily COVID-19. She won't be tested so I doubt we'll know. She's self-isolating and we're worried. We now have 3 in the office down, 6 working from home, and not many left...
