I am avoiding shopping and thought I would just squirrel away what I would normally be spending for the time being and save for a fun shopping trip to multiple Tuesday Mornings (I have about 10 of them in a 2 hour radius).
Then I decided to go online and just see what scrapbook.com had, and I decided to have a tiny pitty party for myself for not being able to get out of the house to shop. I do love to hit Tuesday Morning even when I don't find anything to actually purchase. Apparently shopping online helped. I found the new 360 tower on sale (found an online code) and bought one for myself and my son's fiancee. They just bought a new house and she loves to create signs on a budget. I found lots of vinyl and transfer tape on Amazon and now have her birthday gift ready to go.

Queen and Company has new shaker card kits. I ordered two.
Yesterday I saw a Jennifer McGuire video showing Lawn Fawn’s Iris die. Yup, I bought that, too, along with a couple of other dies. It was the first time I have ordered from Lawn Fawn.
No Tuesday Morning trip for me last week or this week, so happy mail will do very nicely instead, and I think I will be happier with my purchases and use them more, anyway.

I had a pity party and used some of my credit from my Amazon card to buy pens and a set of planner stencils. I'm easily entertained.

I think it is the same brand. I loved it. I didn't buy it because at some point I just cannot keep buying storage. Clearly I am not at that point.

Anything that comes in the mail seems more special.

I had two Tonic Studios kits The Hedgehog Hollow was clearing out that arrived today. My Scrapbook. Com order with Shimelle’s Never Grow Up came in along with the scalloped cover for Lawn Fawn’s Magic Iris die (I have the die and other add on for it) and some Lawn Fawn paper. Oh...and more reveal wheel sentiments too from Lawn Fawn. Tomorrow, my order from Tonic Studios should be here with a bundle of alcohol markers, embossing powder, and all their Glow Drops. They’re the only Drops I don’t own and haven’t used so I snatched them up while they were on sale. I need to call Tonic tomorrow to order their Tropical Paradise Trend 1 bundles because I’m addicted to all things Nuvo. Yeah...my wallet hates me.

Oh! I have a new nail polish shelf coming from Amazon Saturday because the previously mentioned Nuvo Drop collection has outgrown the first shelf. I also forgot about my trip to Michaels yesterday. Got a bunch of their 110lb cardstock to make Memory Books with and a small set of Copic markers. I forgot to use my gift card like an idiot. Today, I went on michaels. com and used coupons to order some more Copics I don’t have. I need to be locked up at this point. I’m glad we’ve got enough food and don’t need to go anywhere!

I can't seem to contribute to any conversation right now without complaining constantly. I'm miserable by the shutdowns...we are fortunate enough where we're not impacted by the business shutdowns (Vegas is gonna hurt for a long time after this) yet, but unexpectedly having my kids home for a month has me down in the dumps...having 30 hours of me time every week for the past 7 months has been an immense benefit to my mental health and the uncertainty of the school shutdowns extending or not just has me incapable of focusing on the upside, in spite of how fortunate we are compared to many in the city. If the closures extend through the remainder of the year (unions are fighting against it because casinos would probably follow suit and it would be crippling to probably half or more of the residents here), my mental health is just going to decline rapidly.
No TM trips for me because TM is closed. We got one day into the store's announcement of reduced hours like most retail is operating on before the governor announced recommended 30 day closures of all non essential businesses (somehow, GameStop seems to think they're an essential business as they're still open, haha) and TM is following recommended guidelines in each state. I have gotten TONS of awesome stuff in the mail lately, though (TM has been dry for months, so I've been splurging elsewhere). I am looking forward to playing with it all in my room, but my mood is making it hard to find any motivation. My creative outlet remains diamond painting (finished one and kitted up two more yesterday) and with our internet upgrade (we can finally stream!!) I have spent a good chunk of the last few days watching a variety of movies available for free through Prime on our firestick. A Hulu/Disney+ subscription is probably next.

My TM closed a couple of months ago. Much better for my wallet. I placed an order with Scrapbook.com for a few dies and some glimmer gel. I really wanted Lawn Fawn’s new stitched alpha die so of course I found other things I ‘had’ to have so I got up a couple of their new stencils and a stamp/die set.

Hang in there and complain as needed. I am so glad I don't have children at home, as much as I love my kids. I can't imagine how hard it must be to try to feed, educate, and entertain them all day.

I already miss Tuesday Morning but...
I bought a huge order of things from Scrapbook.com before all of the restrictions hit. It arrived yesterday, which happened to be my birthday. I was very happy.

scrapaddict702, I started homeschooling when my oldest was going into his senior year of high school. It is a HUGE adjustment to have all of your kids at home, especially when you did not choose to, and it’s definitely not an easy adjustment.
However, it can also be really good in the long run. My kids all learned to be more self-directed, to do their schoolwork without me hovering over them, which really paid off when they went to college.
There was one younger child, though, who drove me nuts because he would disappear the moment I turned my back. He would not do his school work without me right there to make sure he did it. Since I had to sit next to him to keep him from sneaking off, I finally decided to keep my crafty stuff right by me so I had something that I could do other than just sit there. I got a ton of scrapbooking done during that time, and it kept me sane to scrapbook while I kept him on task.
Maybe you can figure out a layout or a craft project that doesn’t require as much thought to work on while you oversee your kids doing schoolwork? It really made a huge difference for me in a frustrating situation.

It really made a huge difference for me in a frustrating situation. I had years where I had kids at school that wouldn't to their work and so the parents wanted them to stay after school to do it. Unfortunately it was the only thing that motivated them to get it done. They usually stayed an extra hour after school and I got some of my school stuff done, but man, it would have been great if I could have had my scrapping stuff at school. Never thought of that. I was staying past my regular work hours, so it would have been okay. I had an assistant principal who would stay with kids after school and she told the parents she'd keep them as long as they needed. One time a student was working and at five-thirty she ordered pizza and ate it in front of him. He came back a couple of years later and said that was the tipping point for him to get his work done. Someone who was more stubborn than he was and that the smell of the pizza was too much. Ha! I do feel for all of these parents. I was super lucky that neither of my boys needed (or wanted) help with their homework once they got into junior high (except for a certain Frakenstein unit in high school). But I had so many kids who struggled with completing work and focusing that I do understand it.
