I am 'organizing' ONCE again.. haha.. I finally got my own room. That was in November I think. I basically hurried to get everything in there so I can get it out of the 20 different places I had stash at all over my house. I pretty much have it organized except my closet where stuff went that I didn't know what to do with. So last night I got everything out and made piles or put stuff away in their proper places. I am almost done. So I have this pile of organizing containers. It's a little more than I thought I had. There is a variety. Plastic, weaved, cloth, vinyl, cardboard...
So for a little fun I made a poll...
I'll post back tomorrow on the amount. I actually have to count them again to be sure.

When I reorganized, I had an embarrassing amount of sandwich and gallon sized bags.

When I moved here 20 years ago I had one container, my Crop in Style XXL roll-a-way, I still have it. My 14' X 18' space has grown the old fashion way, one shopping bag at a time, maybe a couple of bags at a time.

I remember when all my scrap fit in a Crop in style. Now I try to not overflow my 16 cubes Expedit.

Considering my micro-stash has eight... I can only imagine what a whole roomful of stuff must have necessitated!

I put my extra organizing containers in a Rubbermaid bin, labeled organization. Is that OCD or what?

Nope. What else would you do with them?? Of course, DH thinks I'm a bit OCD... so maybe I'm not the best to answer.

I'm free.... I finally dug myself out.. .heehee..
SORRY for the delay... I totally forgot to come back on here to update. I kinda don't post over the weekends.
My count is drum roll please....
46
Sooooo.....I have four of those fabric boxes that I opened up that go inside the cube storage (either from IKEA, Target, Walmart) and I stacked them sideways so the opening is facing me. Then I filled those with my OTHER empty containers, which consist of (approx) 4 photo boxes, 4 more unopened fabric boxes, 3 cigars boxes, 4 mason jars, 2 type of pen holders, 2 inserts that have dividers that go into drawers, 2 types of 12x12 plastic paper holders, then the rest is all different sizes of plastic type containers. I didn't count my 2XXL bags and 1 XXL paper bag - Crop in Styles. And I didn't include my drawer full of used Ziplock type bags (Because who would throw those out.. haha)
I would get rid of them if I really thought I wasn't going to use them, but I find myself reorganizing something and switching out containers. So most of these have been used one way or another different times. And what a waste of money to buy more, right? If I die tomorrow, I think my husband will find out my craziness and wonder why the heck I have almost have a 1/2 closet of just empty containers. heehee

Nah, that's not crazy at all; it's practical. We have a whole section in the craft room devoted to storage stock - binders, inserts, magazine holders, plastic containers, poly bags, tins, shipping boxes; if its primary use is to hold things and it's empty, then it goes there. Handy when you need to put something away or a current group of stuff has outgrown its spot, just go 'shopping' for a new container like a hermit crab.
