When the toilet paper rush was happening I told my sister- the butt wipes are next. And they were. I then saw some hand soap sell out and I told her-the soap is next. Watch. And it was. I told her today- the hand cream is next. Just watch.
My hands look like shit. My knuckles are starting to peel. I went online to L’Occitane and they were sold out of my favorite travel sizes. So I went on Sephora and they too are sold out on some of them. I said fuck it. I’m not waiting for my favorite hand cream to sell out. So I bought four travel sized tubes-cause I know my peeps aren’t thinking about hand cream right now and neither Sephora nor L’Occitane online had the full size of what I wanted.
so- what do you think is the next thing that’s gonna sell out?

Trash bags (for all the wasted food and wipes/tissues/paper toweling that can't be flushed) and Tylenol (especially with the WHOs recommendation to use Tylenol over Motrin)

On Tuesday, there was no rice, no pasta/sauces, hardly any canned veggies, dishwashing liquid as well as dishwasher tablets. That's in addition to the usual t.p., paper towels, hand soap and sanitizers. I was able to get Tylenol, but it was before WHO made that announcement.

The PA governor just shut down all non life sustaining businesses in PA at 8:00pm. So I bet we will have another panic shopping in our state. Many will be out of work now (besides health care, grocery, pharmacy). My daughters should feel fortunate for studying to be in health care because they will always be needed.

My neighbor, born in the Silent Generation (the one before the Baby Boomer Gen), told me when she was little, her dad took old cut up newspapers and skewered it on a stick and put it in the ground for them to use as newspaper. Oooooh boy. Not going to complain about finally getting some on Amazon yesterday that won't be delivered until April 22nd.

I'm expecting a rush on hand creams, repair balm, and mody moisturizers with all the washing and showering. I restocked today heavily in those areas.

Duct tape, garbage bags, garden lime, and shovels. I'm afraid to ask because it kinda sounds like a murder kit. Is it because spouses will be spending so much time together? Or is there some less nefarious use for this combo that I'm not thinking of?

Freezers. Apparently people are buying extra freezers to store all their bulk bought food.

Is your mall open?
I went to Costco (prescription for my elderly neighbor) and they had heaps of Aveda and Lubriderm. Things are calming down here as many settle into the social distancing.

At the store I frequent the most, laundry soap, rice, instant potatoes, and frozen pasta are wiped out.
Butter was getting low. All that was left was generic real butter and the vegan options.

m~ cooking oil works great as a moisturizer. But don't let that get out or there will be a shortage on that next 😉 There hasn't been TP here for almost 2 weeks. Milk is out, flour, canned tomatoes, beans etc, soup, cat litter and food. No meat at all at the one store, the other goes so fast. So low in our 2 local small town stores. The trucks only come a couple times a week.

This is so weird. Ok so honestly unrelated to Coronavirus, I have
- case of TP, case of paper towels - set up auto ship on amazon the week before just for convenience
- case of Ds21 shampoo and conditioner and my hairspray, bc it’s been getting more and more difficult to find in the store
- honking big tub of coconut oil bc I thought it would work for the deep fryer I gave ds for Christmas, but nooooo. So I’ve been wondering what in the world I’m supposed to do with it. Little did I know I’d be all set! It’s good for skin, hair and cooking. Could I bake with it instead of butter? (If you happen to have any, I remember it’s also nice for a natural lubricant, so there’s that. Did I learn that here?)

Most of the grocery stores here are still empty of everything. When I pick up prescriptions, I end up going up and down every aisle trying to think of a meal I could make. I could only come up with four today.

Regular eggs. Publix only had organic eggs at $7.00 per dozen.
