I had been looking forward to several crops this month, but now that they’re cancelled I just can’t seem to find the motivation to scrap at home. I got a few pages done during the Megacrop, but that’s it. Anyone else on the search for their mojo these days?

I work from home part-time. When I retired from my full time job (of teaching), I thought I would scrap every day and then some. It didn't happen. I do scrap a lot, but it comes and goes. I can get 12 pages done and then I ghost my scrapbook room for weeks. Ha. What usually gets me motivated is seeing something like a new paper line, a new technique, or even a simple or new layout. A few weeks ago, I pulled out my cruise paper kits and saw this paper with 2 x 2 squares. In my head, I saw it making a cute border or background page. The other day, I was watching a YouTuber, Christine Meyer, and saw her use the paper in a way I had not thought of.... Bam, now I'm ready to scrap. I have a bunch of small thumbnail pictures of our cruise and now I can use a few of them to create an interesting layout. Not sure if I will use them the way she suggested or if I will try to turn them into a two-pager and create a boat out of them. I'm adding the link and a picture of the final layout so you can see what inspired me and maybe something in this layout might inspire you. If you have the Project Life app on your phone, one of the photo layouts is 6 - 2 x 2 pictures on a 4 x 6. You could easily have 6 small photos on this heart and only need one 4 x 6 photo printed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=456TnAFZ57s&t=591sETA: here is a YouTube video for anyone interested in being able to print 2 x 2's and 3 x 4's from a 4 x 6. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnuIO9Br6Pw

Cute layout, 950nancy! I like the idea. natscraps, I'll be happy to lend you some of my mojo if it will help me locate my jumbo frame cutter guides (CM jumbo cutter set). LOL! I have 2 and I can't locate either of them in my scraproom. Aaaaarrggggh! I don't feel like using my Cameo to cut these frames, mostly because I don't have a cut file for them so I'd have to buy something or design it myself, and that's more work than I want to put into something for which I already have the cut guides in exactly the size and shape I need...if I could just locate them. I don't use them very often and I think I have some vague memory of bringing them with me to my last crop. But I always unpack everything when I get home, so it's just a matter of figuring out where in the world I would've put them.

natscraps, yes, my mojo is definitely gone. I think it was partly the stress of covid. Also, it's partly just life was so busy last year that I've been on shut down since after Thanksgiving. I'm not motivated to do Christmas layouts and otherwise, it's just chores and sickness through March in my house. I'm starting to want to play with my art journaling and that usually motivates me for scrapbooking.

Did you find your cutters? Because I may have found my mojo! I had everything prepped to finally finish my Disney album this month but just wasn't into it. Decided to print the photos of DS flying his first kite yesterday, managed to find the piece of kite paper I knew I had, and I already have one layout done. Printed a few more photos from the past two weeks and going to work on those. If you have the Project Life app on your phone, one of the photo layouts is 6 - 2 x 2 pictures on a 4 x 6. You could easily have 6 small photos on this heart and only need one 4 x 6 photo printed. I have a collage feature on the app for my little selphy but I may have to check out the project life one and see if I can get it to work with my photo printer.

Glad you found your mojo! Your kite page sounds cute. Of course, after I found the cutter guides I had to spend even more time looking for the perfect shade of charcoal gray to cut the frame I wanted...but I finally got it going.

It sounds like some of our mojos were hiding out and having an online not-a-crop. I did however purge and reorganize all my craft stuff. Now I want to start using it. Looking forward to next weekend.
