Shimmel just posted a new video on YouTube. She doesn't post free content a lot anymore, so I thought I would pass this on to any of you who might be looking for a pastel dinosaur page.(Bloom Street paperline)

I love watching her scrap. She is the only scrapper I watch.

Yes, it's a fun video! I just watched this morning There are generally two new Facebook Lives saved to her page every week, Monday and Friday - go to Facebook.com/glittershim (the Shimelle business page) and hit the video tab. You don't need to be a Fbk user to watch - just tell Fbk "not now" and it will let you watch without signing in. And she's picked up again a bit on her YT page since she joined Paige's DT. Considering she's scraping and piecing together a parquet floor in her "spare" time and sharing one table with her husband and kiddo I've been amazed at what she has been able to keep up with. Not much in the way of edited content - she explained on Fbk Live that it's very difficult for her to record and edit videos in the limited space she has since they started renovating the house, and it's even harder now with the 3 of them working from home. It isn't that she's gone to Patreon or only doing class videos - she said she'd never do the former and has been way behind on the latter.

Thanks for the Facebook info. I’m not a FB member and probably never will be mostly due to time issues. I didn’t know I could watch. I’ll be looking into Shimelle’s videos. She’s one of my favorites.

I just watched one of her videos for the first time ever. She cut paper into strips freehand, just hacking into 12x12 pieces like it was NBD and created an amazing LO. This scares the crap out of me, so I should probably try it, right??

One of my favorite YouTubers just quickly draws a simple animal face and then cuts it out and freehand all of the features. I watch her just to see what she will make next

She freaked me out once. I watched her cut a paper frame in half on the diagonal and put just a corner of it behind her photo as another layer. What? We're allowed to do that?!? She's a clever girl, that one!

Thanks for the info on this, and how to get to the Facebook lives without joining facebook. I enjoyed the video and will look for the saved Facebook live ones too.

I use my paper trimmer for almost everything! Honestly she’s been cutting with scissors a lot more lately and I’m 99% sure it’s because her desk is absolute CHAOS just outside of the video frame and she literally can’t get all the stuff off her trimmer in order to use it. Let us know if you get brave and start hacking paper into strips yourself!

I have decided that a craft video each day is going to be a part of my ‘surviving lockdown’ strategy. Between Shimelle’s new class and her Friday lives that I have missed recently, there should be plenty to keep me going.

Between Shimelle’s new class and her Friday lives that I have missed recently, there should be plenty to keep me going. Just one video a day? Pacing myself! We don't know how long this will all last. And I am also trying to actually do some craft in this time as well, not just to be well informed!

Btw Shimelle has been adding her Facebook Live videos to her website with photos of the finished layouts so if you don’t want to deal with Fbk at all you can still watch them. www.shimelle.com/ She said she’s hoping to get them all up there but it will take some time and she might never finish, but she has started

Thanks. Part of my weekend is going to be spent watching a few inspiration videos. I’ll definitely check into that. TFP
