** I hope my question makes sense.**
What do you do with random layouts that you make that don’t really fit into a certain project album? For example, I am thinking of documenting COVID19, but I don’t currently have a project life album or 2020 album. Where do I keep these random stories that I want to tell? Should I start a mishmash album? Travelers notebook? Something else? All ideas are welcome!
Thanks and stay healthy!!

My albums are separated by person.
My everyday layouts about things I'm thinking about (like current events) go in the album titled with my name.

I mostly scrap chronologically except for an occasional mini album or for a specific trip or holiday. So I would just put it where it falls. I don't worry about a dedicated album per year. Some years I have more than one album, some albums can fit 2 or 3 years. I just put it where it falls. If I end up making more layouts for a prior year and the album gets to full, then I just divide and move layouts into a new album.
For instance I had an album for 2017, 2018 and was starting to put 2019 in there. I ended up scrapping more events from 2017 and 2018 and filled the album too much, so I moved the 2019 stuff to a new one. If I scrap something about 2020 I would just put it at the end of the 2019 layouts.
If I worried about where it would go, I would never get anything scrapped!

I keep various albums, but also a family album, so this would easily fall in the family album. If I didn't have the family album I would need a mishmash album. I would only put it in my album if it's strongly worded from my point of view and feelings on the subject.
I'm thinking of doing a mini for it. A 10x10 or 8x8 that talks about daily life and news.

I keep annual project life albums so any current events go in those albums, but I also have a variety of other albums that I add to periodically. I have albums for my daughter that I keep in chronological order, even though i don't create pages in chronological order. I have an album for me that is kept in order of when I make pages even though some of them are about my childhood, etc. and I have a "catch all" album for any other pages, pages about my husband, my pets, etc. I feel like having a catch all album always gives me a place to put things that don't "fit" in another theme. Before I created that album I was hesitant to make certain pages if they didn't fit into a scheme and I definitely don't want that issue. Plus I love the fun mishmash of stories that have ended up in that album. Whenever it fills up I will just create a second volume.
If you don't keep an annual album, how do you currently have your albums organized?

If you don't keep an annual album, how do you currently have your albums organized? Because I have limited scrapbook time, most of my albums are specifically project based. So, basically, my shelf is full of December Daily albums and vacation/travel albums. I am still powering through December Daily 2019, and I am only on day 12. It takes me a long time to finish stuff due to my other mom duties. It stinks. I have all these page ideas and very little time to execute.

I have the same with working full time/mom duties, etc. (which is why I'm always "behind" on all my projects... way too many ideas, not enough time). My "other" album that acts as a catch all only has a handful of layouts in it and I've been adding to it for probably about 3 years... but it's still nice to have a place to put them. I know a lot of people create layouts and they stack up and they don't put them in albums, but I love seeing my pages in albums so that's always the first thing I do when I finish a page.

Ijust have a "family" album. It's just the two of us, so it has us, the dogs, and random other bits of stuff.

I scrap for individuals and no longer do family albums or an album for myself. For this virus I am going to scrap a page in my son's teacher album about how it affected schools and teachers. I will likely do some kind of one page thing for DGD. It will be chronological so not sure when I will do it but it will likely go into an April album.

I just have a miscellaneous album where I put layouts that aren’t family, pets, or vacation. Otherwise I’d have way too many mini albums, which I love, but I haven’t got the shelf space.
