I just received a paper pad that’s specifically for colored pencils. And also some blender pencils which apparently are MIA (Amazon delivery at my building is bad in the best of times) I’m excited to try it tomorrow.
What is something new, interesting, fun that you ordered just for yourself?

I just ordered a facial steamer from Amazon, although it won't be here until Monday. My April facial is cancelled so I decided to treat myself.

I bought some cute Japanese stationery: some cute little birdie letter sets and a little notepad with penguins. I have zero use for them but they make me happy to look at. I am also contemplating buy this cross stitch pattern even though I haven't stitched in years in part because it messes up my vision... but I would like something to do while I'm sitting on my couch that isn't electronic.

I haven’t ordered anything online - but recently I bought (before the shelter in place orders) water colors, paper and brushes and I’ve been really enjoying experimenting with water colors. I have to admit it kind of looks like something a toddler did but it is super relaxing.

Y’all are making me want to bust out my coloring book and pencils! Um, fun for me is probably a lot different than fun for y’all. I like to organize so I bought some labels for our recently purged and reorganized Christmas boxes. Here is where DH would like to point out that we have over a dozen boxes, 6 of them those ginormous 5 or 6 feet long ones. But they are a well organized and well labeled group of boxes! eta: Oh and green bags to help save the fresh produce we are buying more than a week’s worth at a time. Super excited about saving money and not having to rely on canned and frozen veggies. But my birthday is in a week and I’m probably buying some new pills & knobs for my kitchen and I’m super excited about that! I just ordered a facial steamer from Amazon, although it won't be here until Monday. My April facial is cancelled so I decided to treat myself. I remember covering my head with a towel and leaning over a pot of boiling water as a teen, I’m sure this is a better idea

aerogarden with herb variety We love using fresh herbs and I really want to try this to save money, but I have a black thumb and for less than $20 I can buy separate small containers of herbs and kill them. Plus, I’m not sure where I’d keep it that wouldn’t drive me crazy. On the countertop is not an option.

I have to admit it kind of looks like something a toddler did but it is super relaxing. Do you make cards? Jennifer McGuire does a lot of watercolor techniques for her cards and I love the results. I’ve been wanting to try them but never get around to buying the paper. I’m going to right now while I’m thinking about it! eta: Done, thanks for the motivation! But daaang. Not getting it until May because Amazon is prioritizing their shipping based on the type of item. Which I understand and appreciate but what a let down, I was ready to play this weekend.

Yesterday I ordered a kit of house and garden in 1.48th scale. I said I wasn`t going to buy any more of these kits as they are quite expensive. Well I need something challenging to do as I have 3 months high risk at home now.

I ordered a really cute leather mini-backpack in lavender made for carrying knitting projects! Of course, I can't take it anywhere right now, but still thrilled with it.

Mine was kind of a fail. I bought an 8x10 silk screen to use with my cookie stencils for airbrushing, so there is less overspray on the cookies when doing patterns with stripes, etc. where the pieces of the stencil can blow up on the edges when you’re spraying allowing the color to go underneath. And it would work too if I had the smaller square stencil frame. But it turns out the 8x10 one I bought is the *outside* dimensions and the stencil snap frame I have won’t fit underneath. I was hoping to practice airbrushing some cookies this week, guess not.
😩😩😩
I really didn’t want to pay $25 for two pieces of plastic with some magnets. Now if only my 3D printer was assembled...

I got a Kindle Paperwhite! I only read real books, and am technologically challenged so it will be hard! I have a good amount of library books, but on Monday worried that this will last longer than expected. So I bought one! I hope I can figure out how to link it to my library. But was told kindle paperwhite doesn't use Libby and that's what my library uses! And now my school district decided the President is correct, and everything will be back to normal by Easter (said sarcastically). My books will last me another month, so not sure whether to return it or keep it.

Ordered an Echo Park Warehouse box and some jeans and flowery tops from Old Navy as a birthday gift to myself. All of my anniversary and birthday celebration plans were cancelled so I needed a little pick me up.

I ordered myself a ton of puzzles, 5 of which came yesterday. I also ordered myself a wool felting kit and I love this. My first creature was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I know what mistakes is made and what not to do. So I have hope for my future felting. There is also lots of extra wool from the first kit, so I am going to practice before I open up my second creature. It is very fun and soothing. The stabbing is highly therapeutic.

maryland my library uses Libby and I am able to get books downloaded to my Kindle paperwhite. Great! Thanks so much! I have another question about the paperwhite. How do you turn the page? Do you swipe or have to scroll up? I haven't opened it, and want to get info before I open it (just in case I decide to return it).

You just tap on the right side of the page. It is very easy to use.

Some books are set up so you can continually scroll through.... others you have to touch the side of the screen to turn the page... but it is not really swiping... just a tap

I don't think I can get it to you by this weekend, but I could definitely get you some watercolor paper in the MAIL by this weekend, if you don't mind if I cut it down to fit a 6x9 envelope. (Also, the only reason I ever clean my craft room is so that I can go in and ORGANIZE it... and I love my label maker.)

We bought a bunch of supplies but haven't done much, but we made some leprechaun gnomes this weekend since we had all the time in the world. Absolutely agree the stabbing is therapeutic! Enjoy it!

I have ordered a few cross stitch patterns and floss. My favorite thing I've gotten, however, was the $20 white board that Amazon had on special last week -- I got it to help with online teaching, and it is awesome.

I haven't done embroidery since before I went to college, so I decided to take it up again. I ordered a kit from Oh Sew Bootiful and I'm excited for it to arrive (from UK, so it's going to take a bit...)

I have never used an Aerogarden, I do regular container gardening, but only started a few things this year. I've wanted one for years though and watched tons of YouTube videos from people who use them and figured they are worth the time and expense because you can get a really good grow if you maintain it properly. The Aerogardens are surprisingly small (the biggest ones about the size of an inkjet printer), and I have a place for mine in a dark corner of the living room. But the lights are very bright and shine up to 18 hours a day, so you have to be mindful of where you put them. They're not really noisy, the pump is a small aquarium pump, but the light panel is very bright. TBH, it's more of a toy for me. I put what I'd normally spend on spring garden center browsing into it as a consolation this year, and will use it to start seeds indoors for the outside garden in future seasons. You can buy special seed starter trays to fit them just for that purpose. Amazon had a few models for great prices last weekend, and I think Aerogarden.com is still running a sale too. aerogarden with herb variety We love using fresh herbs and I really want to try this to save money, but I have a black thumb and for less than $20 I can buy separate small containers of herbs and kill them. Took Dh and older dd 3-4 hrs to put it together. Feel so lucky. Love it. I do think I’ll sell it after this is over.
