Welcome to a new day. I don't know how we ended up w/another fridge illed with rechauffe, but we did. So, rechauffe it is.
What's on your menu?
What are you going to do to make the most of your day? I'm going to do my usual jigsaw puzzle. Truthfully, I barely work on it, because I get too tired. Though I'm hopeful. Meanwhile, I'm keeping the tv off, except for quick am news and then it makes the day much easier.
What's your favorite meal and why? I always liked lunch. Lunch was an opportunity to enjoy a yummy sandwich and a pickle. It's all about the pickle.
May your day be calm and may you find something that makes you smile today.

We’re having grilled pork chops, which I will brine, with roasted asparagus and mashed potatoes.
I have rarely met a meal I didn’t like...I think my favorite is dinner because it’s usually the only one I don’t eat alone.

More of the same, go to work and come home. I did YOYO yesterday, wasn't feeling making anything. I ended up with a bowl of cereal. We will have fried chicken tonight. The business across the street is closed for one confirmed case (they are manufacturing of stuff, deemed essential). There is a possibility of 6 more. Yikes. Mailman let me know, I have been very diligent for sanitizing when I get the mail here. Not sure if he usually goes there before me or after...but I sanitize and wash after just about every step of sorting and opening the mail! Oh, favorite meal...I guess dinner. I really don't know, I do know it's not breakfast.

Hi ladies. I'm taking a lunch break now. I like lunch too scrapmaven. Sandwiches, salads, and soups. What I like is that I get a chance to pause at lunch time. Just kind of a reset My bread dough has doubled in size. I'm going to bake it this afternoon. It's my first attempt at bread. I used this recipe: damndelicious.net/2017/12/05/no-knead-rosemary-bread/I am making chicken salads to go with my bread.

We have smoked pork in the freezer. I think the plan was to add that to stirfry veggies. We'll add some brown rice and call it a meal.

We have some leftover pesto pasta so I'm thinking roast some chicken bites, throw on some broccoli, make a salad and call it dinner. My favorite meal would be dinner... usually because it's something satisfying and not just a "whatever" for lunch. And scrapmaven? Girl, just throw in a side pickle whenever you want... breakfast, lunch, dinner... can't go wrong with a pickle!

I have not done a good job of sticking to my lockdown schedule today! No worries - I have done pretty much everything on the list, just not as much of some things and too much of others. At least I finally got some knitting in - I took 3 projects with me to Australia and didn’t knit a stitch.
Dinner tonight is mushroom ravioli with a sun dried tomato pesto sauce. I think there may also be garlic bread.
My favourite meal is dinner, because it is where I have the most variety. Breakfast is always oatmeal or muesli, lunch is leftovers or a sandwich, but dinner is all over the place.

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm trying to do a couple of household chores each day since we are in week 2 of no housekeeper. Today I'm trying to get my sewing mojo back as it has been gone all week. I've mended the binding on a potholder that's been sitting here for at least 2 months. I figure I can only go up from here! About to tackle some hexagon blocks from a class I took a few years ago. Problem is, I've forgotten how to do that butterfly seam. We ended up grilling some tenderloin tips and a sausage last night, as well as a couple of baked potatoes. Dinner will be rechauffe with a tossed salad on the side. Favorite meal? Dessert! I really don't have a preference, although breakfast would be #3 on the list.

We're having tri-tip steaks on the grill for dinner with green beans and a fruit salad. I'll grill enough for lunch tomorrow too. Today I'm going to tackle cleaning our Plantation Shutters. It's something I put off long enough.

Good morning Today I’m cooking chicken enchiladas for our dinner and to take to my dad tomorrow. I’m also hoping to make pioneered women’s sour cream noodle bake for him and us. I’m another one that likes all meals I love a big relaxed weekend breakfast or a nice dinner. I think my favorite of either is probably enjoying it with others. Lunch seems more solo for me.

Yesterday I decided I hadn’t had a vegetable in two days so I did a sheet pan of red potatoes, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and carrots. (I did not end up making this dinner the other day when I said I was going to.) I also had a little rechauffe chicken with it. But mostly veggies. There are leftovers for today, too. My favorite meal would probably be a big brunch or lunch out with family, that fills me up so I just need a snack for dinner. Hang in there, everyone!

(( hugs )) to anyone who needs some!! ooooh, scrapmaven......I LOVE pickles, too! With a reuben, it HAS to be a kosher dill, and with a grilled cheese, a sweet baby gherkin. Fave meal I guess would be dinner. ... Probably because dinner for me/ us is usually associated with holidays, fun times, social gatherings, restaurants, etc. . Soooo, I made strawberry shortcake in the wee hours, (DH and Dad will be happy when they see it tonight). I followed her recipe to THE LETTER, and the biscuits still have verrry little flavor and are NOT fluffy! (don't handle the dough very much, don't twist the cutter, don't do this, don't do that, yadda yadda)----yet, I've neverrrr been able to get a good biscuit from scratch. I just read a thread here (on 2 peas) the other day about tips for good biscuits, and followed those, too. I wonder why they are so hard to attain? Oh well, it was still fun to make 'em! It was SOMETHING FUN TO DO !!!! It was very nice just to be in my kitchen making something---doing something NORMAL instead of constantly reading about/ thinking about this scary time. I sometimes forget how happy it makes me to cook and bake. Plus, the strawberries and fresh whipped cream will cancel all of that out! (We haven't had it yet, annnnd, I'm still shocked that I didn't sample any last night....that is so NOT like me! LOL!) I just had a few tiny bites of the biscuits, I was anticipating extreme yumminess, buttttt.......

Fish tacos tonight! ❤️❤️❤️ I’m always happy for any kind of taco night. Favorite meal- interesting, I’ve never thought of that before. Maybe lunch because there are no expectations. I’m just making what I want for me and when I feel like eating it.
Today I have work (telework) 8-5 and for the rest of the day I have making dinner, exercise (probably yoga and weights and a new dance cardio workout peloton app) and then work more on my free Yale course I just started about well-being and happiness. ❤️

I've neverrrr been able to get a good biscuit from scratch. Decades ago when I was an investment banker, a gal in our operations department made the best homemade biscuits I've ever tasted. Every once in a while she would bake a tray full and bring them into the office first thing in the morning. They were melt-in-your-mouth heaven! Me? Never could make anything besides Bisquick drop biscuits. That's a really good meme cadoodlebug. Thank you for giving us something to look fwd to reading each day. It really does help. I see most of them on Facebook ~ I am constantly amazed at the cleverness of people!

Just back from a 4 mile walk with a friend. We've decided to meet and walk each Thursday. It was just announced that Georgia schools will be closed thru at least April 24th, so we have some more lovely walks to look forward to.
I was near a WalMart when we finished walking and needed a couple things, but drove right by when I saw the parking lot was FULL! Talk about a living HELL! Went on to Publix, which was calm, orderly, and looked almost normal.
Dinner will be stuffed red/yellow peppers and chocolate chip cookies. DH has not been happy with my no-sugar edict!

Happy Thursday everyone!
I feel like my interviews went well, I'm hoping that I get an offer, I feel like two of them are strong potentials for that. But we shall see. They assured me that the positions will still be filled in spite of the economy fears right now. We shall see. fingers crossed.
DH came home from the ranch yesterday with ribs he had smoked while he was there. So we had them last night with a salad. Tonite will now be Chicken thighs and asparagus. I might do some rice with it.
Wishing everyone a peaceful, productive day. I've been doing a little sewing and am enjoying that. I'm also reading a book.

Went on to Publix, which was calm, orderly, and looked almost normal. I *think* some of this is because when a store gets a shipment of TP, someone blasts it on NextDoor and everyone flocks to said store. Of course, by the time they arrive, it is usually gone. Two weeks ago, when we were in the Bay Area, I think I told the story of WM getting in a few big boxes of TP and the arrival had people running through the store like they were on Super Market Sweep or whatever that game show was. I wasn't in dire need so I stayed out of the rush for fear of being trampled. In hindsight, I was right there, I should have grabbed a pack.

Dinner is my favorite meal at home and brunch/lunch for eating out. I'm feeling the lockdown blues today and, even though the fridge and pantry are full, I'm not inspired to make anything. It's kind of like when your closet is full and you have nothing to wear. Hoping a poke through Pinterest or here might inspire me. ETA RosieKat's poll inspired me to make quesadilla's tonight!

There’s another page with our meat and fish hoards. Note the yellow. He wasted colored ink on this. I am going to scrap this somehow. We’ll eat something with ground meat. I’m looking for an IP recipe. Thanks for the thread. We are puzzle people, too, if dd is home. Maybe I’ll get one out so DH can make it. It’ll save our ink cartridges. 🤪

Hello tribe. The last 48 hours have been crazy here. DD is in 8th grade, and of course school is closed (I’m Happy to say that remote schooling works fine) so the kids in her class communicate via Snapchat. And two days ago one of the kids shared ch!ld p0rnography in the group. Fortunately DD told me, even though that telling on her classmate wasn’t easy for her, so I took her phone and told the kids that this isn’t okay. At all. I called the police first, and they asked me to secure the evidence, which I did, so when the little sh!t who shared it deleted it, it was too late. The movies are now in the hands of the police, and they will take it from here. I was a bit afraid that some of the other kids would call DD a snitch, but I let her tell them that I’m a super strict mom who demands her passwords regularly to check her social media accounts. (I do check them, but mostly when she shows me what goes on there.).
Still made dinner: chicken tikka masala, although I admit opening a jar.

I am making 3 pans of chicken enchiladas. One for us and one for each of our sons to be delivered to their porches around dinner time. I think I am also going to make them some rice krispie treats. I just want to give them some mama love!
I had to go out this morning to pick up a prescription. It felt so weird to be out and quickly came back home to my bubble. I like my bubble!
My favorite meal is probably dinner that someone besides me makes!! I really miss my standing Saturday morning breakfast date with the hubs!
