"Mr Trump is due to speak on 13 June at the academy, located about 50 miles (80 km) north of New York City. New York state is the epicentre of the US coronavirus outbreak. The academy has said "the size and scope of the graduation ceremony will be determined by safety considerations" for all attendees. Cadets have been attending classes virtually since they left campus for spring break on 6 March. The president announced on 17 April he would be giving the West Point commencement address this year. According to the New York Times, that came as a surprise to West Point event organisers, who had yet to finalise graduation ceremony plans amid the coronavirus pandemic. " www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52434854I love how the term "Crozier Up" is being used to mean "do the right thing, even when your superiors are acting recklessly".

”Stacey Abrams has been privately calling Democratic powerbrokers, asking them to tell Biden campaign officials that she should be Vice President.”
I’m not a fan of hers. I think Biden has much better choices. And maybe I’m not a fan of hers is because of this, if true.
I’m old school in let your record speak for itself and not call people and tell them to put in good word for you.

”Trump says again that he was the only one who supported banning flights from China and it was opposed by Democrats, Republicans and career officials. In fact, by the time he imposed the flight ban, airlines like United, Delta and American had already suspended flights with China.”
That is the way I remember it, airlines stopped direct flights to China first. At least here on the West Coast.

Two tweets to show you how screwed up the Federal Government has become during trumpism...
Daniel Dale...
”The ongoing Trump event is featuring a procession of businesspeople thanking and crediting Trump for the emergency loans they received from the Paycheck Protection Program.”
Dan Diamond...
”PENCE flouts Mayo Clinic policy that everyone on campus wear a mask, even as he meets with staff and a patient.”
One of the reason given on why It was thought Pence didn’t put on a mask was because trump wouldn’t like it.

”Trump muses about a vaccine, but then says, "But I think what happens is: it's gonna go away. This is gonna go away. And whether it comes back in a modified form in the fall, we'll be able to handle it. We'll be able to put out spurts. And we're very prepared to handle it."
Until there is a vaccine, just exactly where is this virus going to go?

Instead says, "I like the idea of payroll tax cuts." Adds economists would agree with him. I reported recently Trump has been talking late at night w/ Art Laffer, supply side economist”
So how does trump think a payroll tax cut going to help those not working? Once again he proves he cares more about businesses than the little guy.

Apparently this “Vice President of the United States” never heard of “lead by example”.

Exactly two months ago he said it would go away “like a miracle”, and today we have over a million confirmed US cases and over 60,000 deaths. He never will learn to stop talking out of his ass, will he .

Unbelievable. trump.. ”The only reason the U.S. has reported one million cases of CoronaVirus is that our Testing is sooo much better than any other country in the World. Other countries are way behind us in Testing, and therefore show far fewer cases!” Still only testing symptomatic people & healthcare/fire-emt/police here. There are still people not getting tests that ‘want one’

”JUST IN: Acting Navy secretary orders broader investigation into spread of coronavirus aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt—effectively delaying a decision on the Navy's recommendation that Capt. Brett Crozier be reinstated as the ship's commander.”
The Navy screwed up and doesn’t want to admit it, so now they are going to look for another reason to justify removing Captain Crozier from his command.

The idea of cutting payroll taxes is stupid. You cannot take out payroll taxes if you do not earn an income. The only one that helps is the big businesses who are able to keep paying their employees, as they will not have to match the tax withholdings. (FICAS) Again, more help to his rich business owners.

I’m old school in let your record speak for itself and not call people and tell them to put in good word for you. I’m not a fan of this. But this is the way it’s always done. Why hold her up to a different standard than has been used by white men for 100s of years. If we want women and minorities to be a force within the system we need to quit criticizing them for using the system that is in place. Do women and minorities have to work harder than some old white guy to achieve success in their chosen fields? Absolutely. But this notion they should do something questionable because the other guy did it is an archaic notion IMO. And this is why I feel what Abrams doing it at this particular point in time is wrong. Not only is this election one of the most important ones this country ever faced, the choice of Biden’s running mate is just as important. I mean it’s really really important that Biden picks a strong qualified running mate. For two reasons. 1. He’s old and has what I call Uncle Fluffy moments. And he may drop dead. 2. He is a one term president which means we need a strong candidate to run in 2024 so we can keep the White House. So the question becomes “What has Stacey Abrams done, at this point in time, to make her the best VP candidate for Biden”? Abrams is from a small Southern state, Georgia, she was in the state legislature and was majority or minority leader and she ran for governor and got screwed. Does this qualifier her to be the really really strong VP running mate that Biden needs? Right now Abrams is one of the “darlings” of the Democratic Party. But if you look at the political landscape on both sides, you’ll find it littered with former “political darlings” that have crashed and burned. John Edwards, that guy Jindal from LA, Marco Rubio to name a couple. If you believe the reports, she is out there pushing the Democratic powerbrokers to tell Biden to chose her. Which brings up the questions if these individuals do as asked. Are they doing it because she is the strongest VP candidate? Or because she is a woman? Or because she is a woman and black? The last two reasons won’t cut it. Because whoever Biden chooses, could very well become the next president after Biden, And if it’s a woman, she needs to be really qualified or that will be the last time we’ll see a woman sitting behind the desk In the Oval Office for a really long time. And that is why if she’s chosen it has to because of her record and her qualifications. And not because of who she knows or because she is one the current political darlings of the Democratic Party.

I agree with everything you presented above. I think Biden has to think long and hard as to who he will choose. Personally, I hope it is a WOC, but there are many qualified. My choice would be Kamala Harris. And I want Amy K as Attorney General, and Elizabeth Warren as Treasury Secretary, Pete B as Secretary of Labor, Andrew Yang as Secretary of Commerce and Corey Booker as Housing and Urban Development. I want his cabinet filled with a lot of the well qualified candidates from the Primary. May Stacey Abrams could fill Health and Humans Services. One can hope and dream

linkFrom CNN.. “ Trump erupts at campaign manager as reelection stress overflows“From the article “(CNN) As he huddled with advisers on Friday evening, President Donald Trump was still fuming over his sliding poll numbers and the onslaught of criticism he was facing for suggesting a day earlier that ingesting disinfectant might prove effective against coronavirus.Within moments, the President was shouting -- not at the aides in the room, but into the phone -- at his campaign manager Brad Parscale, three people familiar with the matter told CNN. Shifting the blame away from himself, Trump berated Parscale for a recent spate of damaging poll numbers, even at one point threatening to sue Parscale. It's not clear how serious the President's threat of a lawsuit was. The White House did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment and the Trump campaign declined to comment.” As always it’s someone else’s fault. Love the part where he threaten to sue his campaign manager. Did his campaign manager tell him it would be a good idea to float the idea of injecting people witH some sort of disinfectant to clean the lungs?
