came back a humping machine. So I sent my 2 dogs to the groomer today. The male went for his 2nd haircut, he's 5 months old. Got him in the car and he starts humping the seat, trying to get at our female dog, etc. She is spayed. He's been a complete pest and won't leave her alone since we got home, sniffing her, trying to hump her. He's driving me insane and i'm not at all amused.

Maybe the groomer had doggy porn in the waiting area?

Wow! Wonder what they were doing at the groomer today? We had a cat that did that to his sister. We ended up using a spray bottle to stop that nonsense! Now they are both too old to care! Good luck. I hope Humpty Dumpty settles down quickly!

Weird! My dog always acts like his bum hurts, and will take one bite of food then run away to eat it after he gets groomed, but it goes away after a week. I've heard this from other people, so maybe your issue is common?

In dogs that is a dominance behavior. It is his way of expressing his dominance over whatever he can. The groomer dominated him now he is going to dominate what he can of his world. You may need to do some dominating of your own (not humping lol) just make him sit, lay, stay, etc.
If he hasn't been nuetered yet that needs to get done asap.
