Odd question I know but yesterday my dog seemed to be in the deepest sleep. Mega stretching during his sleep, contented breathing/noises and woke up after a few hours with a "where am i" look. My theory is that because there is no traffic, walkers, other dogs to listen out for and to react to, he has not been waking every few minutes and just drifted into a deeper and deeper sleep much to his own surprise.

LOL. That’s an interesting theory. Emma does sleep a lot more lately. Yesterday she didn’t get up until after 1pm! She gets up with DH about 5am, has a potty and her breakfast, and then comes back to bed with me. I know daylight savings time factors in, but still!

I don’t know he’s with my DS for a few days.
Before he left he slept fine at night but seemed annoyed that I was in the ‘best’ couch spot during the day.

My dogs sleep better because we’ve been home more. They are not getting as much nap time in during the day, so they’re ready for bed sooner. My college kids have been home so much, and I’ve been home a little more (I’m still working, but took a few vacation days to be at home). Sometimes mid evening our oldest dog looks at us like “why the hell are you all awake and bothering me?” Lol

My dogs have less things to bark at. We have a walking/bike path that runs behind my house and is not heavily used right now, so they are sleeping more and deeply.

We've decided to crate ours for a few hours each day because they have been so discombobulated by the fact that we're all around all the time, that they're not sleeping/resting well during the day. And in the case of our anxious dog, it seems to affect her behavior.
So like toddlers, they're going down for naps in their crates. The anxious dog in particular loves her crate and feels safe there, but she won't rest there voluntarily if she feels her friendbeasts are out moving around and might need her. She has to be shut in so she will turn off her brain and sleep.

It is not unusual for both of us to be home all day, so she doesn’t really know anything is different.
She still barks at the Prime drivers and the UPS truck even if they are not coming here. She must alert us if someone is walking their dog in our court, (that is not allowed). Otherwise, it’s eat, play, sleeping, repeat.

I think that if you have a dog, it is best to take a seat cover that will protect it from the dog’s coat and claws. I bought myself several such coatings: oohlalapets.com/best-dog-car-seat-covers/if not for these coatings, my Doberman would have already torn my seats!

Mine seems to sleep all day when she's not chasing off the UPS guy and the mail carrier and the threatening 3-year-old on a tricycle etc. However, since we're usually not home most of the day I have no idea if this is what she normally does during the day. She is getting an extra walk so she might be tired. Also, I'm sure she finds it comforting to have us all home. Although...she's part border collie and she takes very seriously her breed's herding duties... if we're up and about... laundry, kitchen, whatever... then she has to pace around us and try to herd us into one room. lol. She actually pushes us with her nose when she's trying to accomplish this. We let her do it every few days just so she can have a feeling of accomplishment. lolol.

I’m not noticing any changes in Posie. She’s currently snoring delicately after our walk.

Like a baby, like she always does. But we work at home, so she's used to us being around all day. I will say, however, in the last couple of weeks, instead of sleeping out on the couch at night like she usually does, she's been coming into our bedroom to sleep in her bed beside ours.

Mine sleep upside down and spread out. When you don't have long legs to worry about, upside down is perfect.
We have a ton of walkers and joggers in our area. We always do. You can't go out for a walk without running into 40 other people (most with dogs). They ignore the traffic, so that hasn't changed much. I will say they have had more fun with the delivery people though.
