It seems odd with all those kids they were never told to take infant/child cpr. The OBs here don’t force it but strongly recommend it. I can’t understand not taking that baby to the doctor after that. I’d be scared to death it would happen again. She said she was told it was too dangerous to take a baby to the hospital, but not less than a week ago the babies went to their pediatrician for shots. There is a 0% chance I would not follow up with a visit to my pediatrician and have my child checked out by a doctor in person. Let’s not forget that a couple months back they got stuck due to bad weather while leaving the ranch. She was pretty far along in her twin pregnancy. Again, not sure why they feel the need to be so far away when circumstances say you should be close to medical help.

And then proceeded to show the babies napping in those dumb baby bags of hers with plush blankets up by their faces. They aren't even a month old yet.

OMG I just checked out her account - those babies are 3 weeks old! One has a breathing episode and she was glad they were 1 hour away from medical help because God saved them. FFS, this is so irresponsible.

You forgot about how she said the baby almost died, and described it in detail. Also, at the end she said a bunch of religious crap about "God wanting this to happen here, and wanted it to happen now so that I can testify about miracles" or something like that. Right....
I just started following her when she was brought up here about a month ago, but I am skeptical. In one post she said that she prayed for twins. Why? She already has 6 kids, why the need for twins? She also said that her SIL has twins so I was wondering if she thought having twins was cool or would bring more attention on IG? I don't know, maybe I am too suspicious of people's motives. I just thought it was a strange thing to pray for.

They’re awful. It’s bad enough that they went to the cabin in the first place. I do believe that bubbas parents live with them and are almost always in the house, helping with kids, etc. I am pretty sure I saw FIL in a clip at the cabin too.
I don’t believe you can have that many Kids and do a great job of parenting all of them at all the same time. I just don’t think you can. I think it’s irresponsible and selfish to think otherwise.

I have never heard of this person. My father lives almost 90mins from the nearest ER at the best of times. So self isolating an hour from medical care doesn't seem that strange to me because that's how I grew up. We just learned to adapt I guess. I remember a few months ago when the small hospital here closed, and folks were whining about driving 20 miles to the nearest ER. I make that drive 5 days a week and it takes me 17 mins driving 60miles an hour, in an emergency you can be there in in a lot less. But yes keep attention seeking off of social media. My understanding is that a primary reason not to go to vacation or second homes right now is that it is a drain on the town when they are aren’t ready for it (like grocery stores) and also because the health system can’t handle a lot of people getting sick. So they are encouraging people to stay in their primary homes.

Her “cabin” isn’t exactly in the middle of nowhere. It’s in Huntsville, which is about 20 minutes from Ogden, which has a population of 85K. In fact, my cousin lives there, and her husband is an ER doctor at the hospital in Ogden. So, yeah, not as quick of medical help as her home in Draper, but she’s not without it if she needs it. My house, for example, is 20 minutes away from an ambulance, and 40 minutes away from a hospital. When we had a medical emergency, we hopped in the car and drove, because waiting was a risk we didn’t want to take.
Also, the property was listed for $1.1 million when they purchased it. Whether she paid that or not, a million dollar second home is hardly an endorsement of her “cheap or free” lifestyle.
Refugeepea mentioned it earlier, but I live in the county in Utah that has asked people not to come to their second homes. People are assholes, and aren’t listening.

What an asshole. I’m not a parent and I’ve known how to administer infant CPR since I was 13. I get my CPR/AED certification renewed every two years by going to a training class.

I have taken cpr classes but honestly don’t think I would know what to do in a situation like that. However, I would definitely take the child to the doctor. She seems very quick to believe that it is just a one time incident.
Is the free, fun stuff on her website or something? I haven’t seen any thing about it since I’ve been following and don’t recall seeing links. They definitely don’t seem to live frugally now based on their house and belongings.

Is she the lady that counted out 6 or 8 pieces of cereal for her kid, for breakfast or lunch....(or whatever amount and meal that it was)? Yup, that's her! After @sunnycalimom mentioned her recently, I was curious and looked at SOME of her you tube vids. She also goes to neighbors and asks for their leftover food. I couldn't bear to watch too many, so I've never SEEN it, but I've read that she also has the children sleep in their school clothes....WTH? If your lifestyle is THAT busy that you can't help your SIX children get dressed in the morning, WHY would you have TWO MORE? I just went to read about the baby's incident last night.....sooo glad she's okay, but like many of you said---I'd want her to be thoroughly examined by a pediatrician! I mean, her lips were BLUE !!!! On a FUNNY note, when I was looking at the photo of her holding her baby after she "almost lost her" , ( and wow....the EMOTION on her face....gotta share it with the WORLD ) -----I ****accidentally*** hit something, and a big HEART showed up on her photo. I was panicked because I was just peaking and being nosey---I did NOT mean to make that big HEART appear! I quickly clicked to get rid of my "like." Oh, and uneccessary apostophe 's are one of my pet peeve 's.....She keeps writing "Negative Nancy 's" (and wouldn't the plural be Nancies?) Ugh, and she keeps saying how she won't tolerate NEGATIVE comments----okayyyy, but when you decide to share your entire life as an influencer, that's just part of it. And why not just delete the negative comments QUIETLY? No need to point them out so often!

I think last time someone commented about the slop she feeds her family. And the week before she had the twins 4 out of the 8 got sick with a tummy “virus” and I kept thinking about that comment and I’m sure it had to be food poisoning. I mean Jordan Page is not someone I would ever consult on a “would you eat that?” thread because her answer would always be yes. 🤢

I think this is all the Duggars' fault. All that money so now everyone wants to recklessly breed and make money off their offspring. It's gross.

That's not far from me. I thought it was closer to Heber City? It's still a quite drive down either canyon to the hospital. I know this because my husband has had a couple of bike crashes up that way ... ETA - I just looked at her cabin on Insta. It's in Monte Cristo, which is at least 45 minutes from Ogden. We ride our side by sides up there. Wow. Small world.

scrappintoee said: Since it’s 1:30 am and there is nothing else to I should be doing ... Actually, proper nouns (such as people’s names) keep their original spelling when they’re plural. So Negative Nancys would be correct. I knew a family named Lightfoot when I was a kid, and I always thought the whole family ought to be called the Lightfeet, but no ... it’s the Lightfoots.

I didn’t look too closely, just saw that the address was in Huntsville, but I see now it’s located between Huntsville and Monte Cristo. I still wouldn’t call that the middle of nowhere, though... I mean, they bus those kids to Ogden for school, don’t they? (Unless it’s changed in the last few years.) Yeah, it’s not conveniently located 5 minutes from a hospital. Most of us that live rurally aren’t. But don’t say you’re “isolated in the middle of nowhere” just to up the drama and garner sympathy and hits.

Grr, this makes me angry. When will people get it?!?
My daughter lives in a county in Colorado that has a popular ski town. The ENTIRE county has EIGHT hospital beds. EIGHT! People need to stay the f*** home!

It's not the Jordans of the world that are the problem. It's the sycophants: "Oh, you brave mama with your sweet mama heart!" "Oh, God love you so much!", etc.
Without the sycophants Jordan would be whistling into the wind. With them, she makes big bank on dangerous, foolish behavior and what appear to be Munchhausen-like symptoms.

Moms who have medically complex kids with IG accounts and FB pages dedicated to their kid. Taking even the smallest thing and blowing it out of proportion. The worst part is when the 2 pages show different views. Do they really think they are fooling anyone?! They get all bent out of shape when called out on shit or get overwhelmed when you ask a simple question or give a simple solution... Must be nice to have time to be on IG and FB all day every day while dealing with so many life altering medical issues... While I'm over here doing my shit to keep my kids alive. Hu.

While not ideal, to take infants to the hospital, they'd be able to help.

OMG, I just unfollowed this train wreck a couple of weeks ago after the twins were born because it was obvious she was using them for profit. How sick. And now this. I can't stand these mommy influencers who hide behind "the Lord" She needed to have 8 kids? What about the ones you already have? And why are so many of them LDS? Does anyone know?

And why are so many of them LDS? Does anyone know? Oh, so many reasons. Mormon women are encouraged to be SAHMs, but Mormonism very much has undertones of prosperity gospel, meaning the more righteous you are, the more you will be blessed financially. (The ugly, unspoken downside of that is that if you *aren’t* successful, you’re probably not as devout as you should be.) This is a way to bring in money without working. Also, it falls under the Every Member a Missionary thing... share the gospel far and wide, whenever you can. And, since we grew up sharing our testimonies (and seeing others share theirs) at least monthly, the concept of “over sharing” is foreign. Bonus points if you are emotional. Add in the ingrained responsibility to journal, because what is social media except a day-to-day journal of our lives? (I’m still trying to get over some of these things myself. It’s hard to change.)

They actually have helicopter pads for Lifeflight at Sunridge (which is a private property community right by there) and there is no cell coverage at all. We saw an accident there on one of the trails by the road her cabin in on and the witnesses had to drive for miles to get service. There aren't busses like they use in Huntsville, because it's more of a summer home community. I am not in any, way shape or form defending her, but it IS pretty remote. I would NO WAY, NO HOW take those babies to that cabin at that age for that reason alone. I worry taking my kid with asthma up there in the summer because of how long it would take to get treatment. I do also agree that the wording WAS really dramatic ... I hope that is clear! UGH.

Again, it’s something that many, many people in rural areas deal with. We don’t all have 5 grocery stores within a 5 block radius and a hospital 5 minutes away. It doesn’t mean it’s remote, it just means it’s not urban. Which is all the more reason people should stay TF home.
