There is a huge difference between opinion and news.
She was giving her opinion. Hannity spouts his opinion and viewers take it as gospel.
Talking heads give their opinion all the time. It’s your job to sift through what is said to determine what is opinion and what is fact.
Fact, in May 2018 Trump dismantled the Pandemic Resource Council. Opinion, The Pandemic Resource Council could have been a huge to him in controlling this virus.

Rachel Maddow's show is far from fluffy shit.
She did respond via twitter to Trump's comments.
"Hi again, Mr. President! That clip was from March 20, after you said the ship would be in New York harbor by last week. The ship was not in New York last week -- which is what I said on my show.
You were wrong about it.
No hard feelings. Everyone's glad it's there now. But...
you really have been terrible about communicating true, factual information to the public in this crisis. Please let the experts and scientists speak instead.
And please nationalize the supply chain for critical medical supplies. Thanks for watching, Mr. President."
On the subject of spreading false information, how about this one from Fox News' Lou Dobbs:
DAVID ASMAN (HOST): They have their friends in media, and we talked about The New York Times, but there's also this repeated attempt to drive a wedge between Anthony Fauci - who everybody agrees is a brilliant man, is doing extraordinarily heroic work in dealing with the virus - to drive a wedge between him and the president. And it's wonderful to see those attempts fall flat, when Dr. Fauci comes up and says that's absolutely not true.
LOU DOBBS: Yes. It's absolutely not true. And furthermore, the president has been exactly right about those two drugs - Hydroxychloroquine - it's just amazing. And that is now being prescribed, it now holds great hope. And the president was right and frankly Fauci was wrong. Because he said the president is speaking as a layman. No, he's speaking as the President of the United States whose responsibility is for the lives and safety of millions of Americans. Whose actions by this president, you know, depend.
I just can't.

I don't watch Rachel Maddow (or any cable news pundits, for that matter). However, quoting Daily Mail about "fake news" is laughable. Also, please stop using the words "fake news" or posting links from sites that incorrectly use that term. Fake news is a real, very specific thing. Here are some resources for understanding the difference between the opinion of or the incorrect predictions of a news pundit and actual misinformation or disinformation: guides.library.cornell.edu/evaluate_newsnewslit.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/NLP-Misinformation-Poster-1.pdf

Your post is a symptom of a wider problem that people don’t understand how journalism works or confuse journalism with fluffy shit. Glad we seem to agree that the Rachael Maddow show is fluffy shit and not actual journalism. I guess you misinterpreted my meaning then. Let me explain. Rachel Maddow is blatantly left-slanted. No argument there. But she interviews reputable journalists from reputable sources to support her statements. She’s also not the Oracle of Delphi and not privy to the inner workings of the military. I don’t really understand why the hospital ship arrival time is the one that sent you into a Rachel Maddow screed. I mean, let’s just be glad they got there, right. But the idea that, in the world of Trump and the irresponsible right wing media pulling shit out of their asses, e.g. “some people think”, “I feel like this will all be over in a week, in a month, by Easter” in any way compares to what Maddow is doing is ludicrous. In this light, focusing your ire on Rachel Maddow rather than an administration that consistently and repeatedly is incapable of the truth, and exhibits such pathetic leadership that it’s probably responsible for countless unnecessary deaths is incomprehensible to me.

Most people thought it couldn't be done. They were wrong. The Navy stepped up and got it done. Go NAVY! I don't think that qualifies as "fake news" or funny. But that's me. Very true, but she was extremely vocal about it and has yet to recognize the fact that it happened so quickly. The Navy is really amazing and has stepped up in an unprecedented way. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/xgDsiPIjWbEsdCZNacq0.jpg)
I don't consider it fake news, that's just what the article title says. She was just wrong this time. Not that she'll admit it.
ETA: who is slamming her? It's in the article. I’d bet that she’s happy—extremely happy that she was wrong. But, to be honest, I’d also bet that MILLIONS of people likely thought the same as her. Why? Because we have a pathological liar for potus, a GOP who kisses his ass and goes along with the lies and repeats them over and over. Because we have a potus who has lied from day 1 about this virus, it’s severity, it’s rapid spread, sending help, lying about help, accessing healthcare workers of stealing PPE and “selling it on the black market” (he’s OBVIOUSLY projecting what he would do if he could).

Man, if only supposed independents and republicans held Fox News or, I don't know...the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA to the same standards they have for the "fake news" and the democrats. You know how Trump didn't mean that ALL Mexicans are rapists or that there were "very fine" neo-nazis" on one side in Charlottesville or that Mexico would pay for the wall or that the virus was a hoax or....? Well, maybe Rachel Maddow is being misunderstood, too. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Seriously. His actions and inactions, and that of his administration, are literally responsible for people’s deaths and this is what brings people to post and like? Whatever makes y’all feel better, I guess. I suppose when your team is on the wrong side of history, even minor ‘victories’ are important.
