Liquid adhesive, maybe I am too heavy handed because it always seems to glop out the sides or I get it on my hands. I am strictly a dry adhesive girl.

Washi, stamps and mists. Love the look of a good mist splatter. When I tried it it always looked like crap.

I have too many to name, but I think it would have to be mixed media of ANY kind. I make a mess, hate how it looks when I finish, yet love, love, love what others do with it.

My silhouette. So much work and iffy results sometimes. Plus...mine has dropped onto the floor twice since I last used it and I very much hope it's not broken!!! Guess I should plug it in and take it for a test drive. You know, I haven't even downloaded the silhouette software on my new laptop...which I got before Christmas...which shows you how long it's been since I even considered using the machine!

I love so many mixed media projects. I ordered a Vicki Boutin kit from hsn recently because it looked so easy and the results were so cool. So far, I have not been impressed with what I’ve done, but it’s totally user error. The products are quality, I’m too much of a symmetrical simple scrapper to get mixed media to look right.

Mine is photos. Photos of birthdays and celebrations like Christmas and Easter. I hate scrapbooking those, so I tend not to.

Oh, kitbop, I would be crying if I dropped my Silhouette. It is my most used item in my scraproom. I hope it still works for you. This is me. I love so many mixed media projects. I struggle with enameled dots and washi tape. They never look right on my pages, but other scrappers make them look so good. I give up!?!?

Anything that sticks up on my page. I’m a very flat scrapper. Things like buttons, flowers, string, enamel dots, etc. drive me crazy!

I realized my issue with washi tape is that I tend to use mostly patterned paper. I noticed that most scrappers that use a lot of their washi use white card stock for their page base. I've been meaning to try adding washi to card stock & using that on a layout, but haven't gotten to it yet.

I'm a digital scrapper, so mine will be a bit different to most of you. My nemesis is NBK Design kits. I absolutely love her products, and I have bought many of her kits (which are a LOT more expensive than any of the other kits I buy). But using them terrifies me! Her stuff is really artsy, and they way she puts it all together is amazing. Her latest releases are the Easy Peasy Templates and Journal Cards. They're fine. It's the other artsy kits that are my nemesis. It's not a style that I'm good at, even though I really really want to be.

Stamping. It looks so juvenile and forced on my pages. It's ridiculous bc I always buy stamps when they are on clearance but I can't make them work!

I thought of another one. As much as I love the look of layered stamps I don’t like the amount of work that goes with them. I have to choose the right colors. Then I have to make sure everything lines up correctly which isn’t always easy, even with stamp positioner.

Then I have to make sure everything lines up correctly which isn’t always easy, even with stamp positioner. Here’s a little tip for layered stamping and choosing colors that I learned a long time ago. Choose your darkest color and then when you want a matching color for a lighter shade just ink up and stamp off once on scrap paper. You should be left with enough ink to have a full image in a lighter shade.

Then I have to make sure everything lines up correctly which isn’t always easy, even with stamp positioner. This is how I feel about them, too. Even with the right colours of ink, or following Neisey's advice of "stamping off" to get the lighter shades, it's the positioning. I have a small stamp press and can get the stamp in the right PLACE, just not always at the right ANGLE. With clear acrylics, you can see the stamped image through the next layer stamp and can have it turned just right when you put it down, but with the rubber stamps, I am lost.

What to do with all the miscellaneous stuff we all seem to amass to fill all those crevasses in our play area. I make greeting cards, ATC's, and decorate boxes. I get boxes all the time in the mail. I use a hair dryer to remove the labels, then unfold the boxes. I paint both sides of the box and reassemble the box. Then I start getting rid of the excess stuff in my stash by gluing to the project.

Washi Sequins (although I will use them on cards, just not on layouts) Wood Metal Sprays Anything mixed media
Sketches. It’s not exactly a stash item unless you count all the ones I have downloaded and printed, but since others mentioned stamping and using electronic cutters...... I really struggle to use sketches. They do nothing but frustrate me. It’s so much easier for me to come up with my own design.

I definitely have trouble using most sketches if I'm trying to CASE it, so when I "use" a sketch, I prefer a loose interpretation or even just a part of it. I do really like looking through sketches for ideas, but rarely use them. I also enjoy youtube videos where I can see how someone interprets a sketch. Christys Beautiful Life often rotates the sketch and is good at providing different interpretations.

Christys Beautiful Life often rotates the sketch and is good at providing different interpretations. I’m sure you are trying to help, but I have tried rotating, adapting, etc. I have just never been happy with the layouts I tried to make using a sketch. They take me longer than designing my own, and I am far less satisfied with the results. I’ve been scrapbooking longer than many here. I used to teach layout design and composition. I really don’t need sketches. I tried them at different times because I thought they would speed up the process for me. They didn’t. They felt awkward, like I was trying to force myself into someone else’s style. I finally realized that the way I design is a bit different. I get my best inspiration from what is in my craft room. Trying to find photos and supplies to suit a sketch seems like trying to drive down the highway in reverse to me. I start with my photos, go through my supplies and tools to see what sparks inspiration, and my layout evolves from there. I am happy for those who love sketches. I’m just not one of them. Sketches are a tool, like stamps. Some people like them, some don’t. Nothing is a one size fits all when it comes to scrapbooking.
