After all these years, I still have several embellishment items that I struggle to get on a page or project. Word bubbles, arrows, and large/medium buttons have proven to be quite a challenge for me. I also highly despise "mixed up" or "ransom" style alphas. I'm sure there are others, but these are ones I came across this weekend that I just could not make work.
So what is it in your stash that you just can't seem to get to work, even if you like it?

Clusters. I use them, but always like the ones I see on YT better.

Flair, but it's all starting to rust so I'm throwing it away...

I never figured out what I'm supposed to do with the Jolee's stickers that are little outfits. Am I supposed to layer them over a photo of a person so they can "wear" them like a little paper doll? Make little hangers out of paperclips? Or maybe that's what the mini clothespins are for?
They bug the heck out of me every time I walk into a craft store!

I have seen some that were two piece swim suits and you can be darn sure I put them on my sons' water pictures now and then.

Flair, but it's all starting to rust so I'm throwing it away... Yes, flair. I’m learning to like dimension but flair is just too much for me. I don’t even like the name of it. Hopefully I gave all of mine away already!

I don’t have outfit stickers, but I DO have a bunch of tiny metal hangers. Can’t remember why I thought I needed so many... would you like me to pop some in the mail?

I don’t like to use speech bubbles, banners that look like a ribbon, or splatters. I just can’t seem to get them to work.

I think about the movie Office Space where Jennifer Aniston's character is scolded by her manager for wearing just the minimum 15 pieces of flair on her uniform.

Too many to list, which is probably the real reason why I'm a simple scrapper. I've noticed I'm not great at mixing different embellishments. I don't feel like it's the sticker sneeze of my early scrapping. Probably more out of laziness. I've got the sticker binder out, let's just do all embellishments as stickers and call it a day! Right now, I think I need to do a few stamping pages.

Ooooh, I love flairs, and I even bought a set of Photoshop styles and actions to be able to make my own (digital) flairs. And now whenever I stick a flair on a page, I'm going to visualise jazz hands..... thanks 950nancy!

I won't quite let it be a nemesis, but I do not enjoy using my Silhouette. I love what other people do with it. I even like the few projects I have completed USING it. I have tons of cut files I have collected. But when it comes to creating something, I find myself doing almost ANYTHING to avoid actually using them. I will design something and cut it by hand. Use my dies. Do I have some stickers or pre made diecuts that will work?
If I am going to use it, I almost have to pre cut all the parts. It is like my creative brain can NOT get around the little technicalities of cutting and piecing and layering precisely.

Too many to list, which is probably the real reason why I'm a simple scrapper... Ditto! With a simple, clean, & linear style, I especially struggle with themed products. The color palette, a strip of themed patterned paper or a single diecut or stamped image or word on the layout is often the only nod to its theme.

Tags. I hate tags on layouts. I’m teased about my dislike of tags and have even been given the nickname of Tag Girl. I can use them, but hate it.

Stamping. I bought three huge tubs of scrapping stuff at a garage sale a few years ago. Two the tubs were full of stamps and ink. I have enough for twenty people. Problem is that I was never a stamper and now I have all these stamps and ink. Last weekend I sat my butt down, grabbed a few 'simple' stamps and ALL my inks.. pulled up some videos and three hours later I was still frustrated and confused as I was at the beginning. That said.. I HATE stamping and I need to get the stuff out of my room so I can get it out of my mind.

Whenever I say flair, in my head I think jazz hands. Whenever I see or hear flair, I think of office space. Poor Jennifer Anniston! "We need to talk about your Flair!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vdcw415OcQI just cannot do intricate dies or cuts. It's like I have a mental block when it comes to fitting stuff together. (I also cannot put Ikea furniture together so there's that)

I would have to say stamping. I cannot stamp to save my life without making a mess. Fortunately I feel like I can scrapbook without stamping. I do not like to use anything that has to dry. Love stickles and nuvo drops, hate waiting for them to dry.

I love stamping, but I admit I am a "lazy" stamper. I like to stamp an image/phrase and move on. I don't want anything that I need to color in. I'm not good at coloring and it stresses me out. I'm okay with stamping & fussy cutting, though.

Wood veneer. I like if in theory, but it always looks dirty and dingy on projects.

Paint splatter. I like that finishing touch when I see it in other people’s layouts but when I try it I hate it. I know when I get the bottle out that I’m making a mistake but I try anyway. Amazing how I can love a layout and hate it after a few splatters. I really need to stop doing that.

I'm okay with stamping & fussy cutting, though. I agree, I don't like stamping that requires colouring. Even though I love to see how other people colour and shade, I just can't see myself doing that. I use stamps minimally, as I'm not very good at it. I prefer to create my own 'sayings' on the computer and then cut or punch them out to the shape I want. I like the versatility of this, as I can print in any font, any size, any colour, and on any colour cardstock.

Mine is eclectic looking pages. I love the mixed media and layering look but I have a hard time pulling it off. If I did a junk journal mine would literally look like junk. I’m not giving up though. There are plenty of videos out there.

Mine is patterned paper. I have an affinity for striped paper but I only ever use it in very small bit, and thin strip here and a thin strip there. I’ve been watching videos lately and I think I have myself talked into using patterned paper in some new ways for me. I’ll let you all know how that goes 😉

I never got the hang of flair either. I don't mind lumpy but I never understood why some brands used real pins instead of making them flat backed. I'd have remove the pin part then find foam adhesive thick enough to attach the badge to the page.
But my real nemesis is washi. I probably remove about 70% of what I put down on pages. I should make that my supply of the month.
