I was just furloughed today and to be honest I'm happy about it. I have some projects I've been needing /wanting to do but never had a block of time to get them done.
In addition, some of my colleagues who were not furloughed have to take pay cut---learn new jobs and cover for us. I don't know that seems worse than being laid off for a few months. I'm just thankful that we have some savings as a cushion which softens the blow.
If you're been furloughed what are your feelings?

Husband is not happy because he hurt his shoulder and can’t do any home projects.

I just got told today I was laid off. They think it could last for 3-6 months. All my back up sources of income has been affected as well so I’m very nervous. I’ve never had my back plans fail before.

DD was really burned out, so she is happy. If it goes beyond 3 months or so, she will be worried.

I was happy about it, but at the same time as a nurse I knew it wasn't going to last! I got 2 whole days off...

I was happy at first. We’re still getting paid, but after 3 weeks, I’m over it.

I’ve been home since 3/18. I would enjoy it more if there wasn’t the whole pandemic thing trying to kill everyone.

I’ve been home for three weeks and officially furloughed for three days. I’m meh about it. I’m not getting as much done as I thought I would (and that’s OK). My husband is still working (for now) and can fully support us so we’re very fortunate there. I do miss being with my coworkers though. They are a fun group and we do good work together.
I’m just really hoping our eye/surgical clinic can bounce back from this. As of now they don’t have me returning to work until the end of June.

DH will be furloughed for 2 weeks. Got notice today. I don't like the loss of income. But I'm so thankful that he still has a job. Thankful that they say it's only for 2 weeks. And that it's not a pay cut. He definitely has lots of projects he'll want to do.

I was this past week. I will be able to collect unemployment, thank goodness for the extra 600.00 added on to the normal 345 in Michigan. I would really be stressed if it was only 345.
I'm a dental hygienist so who knows how long I will be off. I'm going to enjoy the time. My back, neck and hand will as well.
I have a lot of projects I've wanted to do. I've started this past weekend.
I could learn to love retirement real quick

Just disappointed that home depot didn't get a chance to lay carpet in my craft room before Covid took over. My dd moved to the basement, and I took over her room repainted it took out carpet... and now I'm in a standstill. I'd love to be in there setting it up. But it's ok, In a world of problems this is so minor
