I’ve been getting random tags from non-crafting strangers on Instagram on giveaway posts for products I have zero interest in (beauty products, MLM crap, home stuff), and I’ve noticed they often tag other Peas and scrapbookers, all in a row.
Where are they getting our IG handles? I’ve been reporting their post as spam, their account as spam, and blocking - is there anything else I can be doing? It’s really irritating and seems to be happening more and more.

I get them all the time and it drives me nuts! I block each one I get but I'm assuming it's because my account isn't private or they get our handles from scrappy giveaway posts we post on?

I wonder why they’re looking at scrappy giveaways though? So weird! Today I was tagged in multiple posts by someone in Portugal and another person in Saudi Arabia, which makes it even more perplexing to me. |

I'm wondering if this may be accidentally my fault? About two years ago, I started a thread on 2Peas where I asked if anyone wanted to share IG names for tagging in papercrafting giveaways. I checked and everyone that's commented on this thread so far shared their name on that thread. I've also been getting these random tags. I'm wondering if people are finding our accounts by getting that thread as a google result maybe? It could just be a coincidence, but I don't know. |

I also get them occasionally and my account is set to private. I block them and move on but it is annoying.
