I’d make him set up a desk space in the bedroom if there was any way to do that. I wouldn’t be able to stand that. My DD is an easily distracted chatterbox who likes to set up camp at the kitchen table, and I knew that if we didn’t find a way to set up a work space for her to do her distance learning in the adjacent office she would drive me insane with all her stuff scattered everywhere. So we did that and she still tries to work at the kitchen table every chance she gets, oy. At least at the end of the day I can collect up all her junk and put it on her desk in the office so I don’t have to look at it 24/7. This is hubby, he likes to be in the middle of things so he can chit chat...but it's annoying to everyone else with his stuff everywhere and his idle chit chat gets old too. Sometimes you just want to be alone in the kitchen making yourself lunch! And we do plenty together so it's not like he's not getting to see everyone. On the up side i've gone through his desk drawers and am realizing that he has a lot that can be cleaned out and he could actually work out of a couple of file bin type crates....so when we downsize in a couple years he most definitely won't be taking a big desk with him

My DH is an extrovert and thankfully is still going to the shop every day as an essential worker. However, we have had a couple of days in the past where he has been home for one reason or another and I am working from home. Our office is the old wet bar area in our main living space (open concept LR/DR/kitchen). The way it is set up is my back is to the room, and there is a small counter/wall dividing the office from the walkway. I am literally not looking at or interacting with anyone and OMG he will talk to me incessantly. What he is watching, what he plans to do next, next week's plans, etc. I'm like "DUDE I AM TRYING TO WORK!" Then he will totally forget I am on a conference call and watch TV loudly or pick up his phone and call someone.
I love him to pieces though.
