Trying to decide if it's worth the money, The reviews are so so, so I thought I'd ask here (How many so's can I use in one sentence? LOL) before I decided. I know there are other places that are cheaper to buy it, I'm just curious if it's any good. www.scrapbook.com/store/ac-660557.html

I have it. The light doesn't work at all and it cuts well in only one direction and with thinner paper, there is also a learning curve while cutting you must hold your paper firmly fairly close to the blade in order to keep it from moving. Makes me nervous. I still have to do things with my Fiskars cutter that this one cannot do like cutting in the middle of paper. My review is Ehhhhh.

Too much money for just an okay trimmer. Ah well. Thanks for the review!

I don't have that trimmer, but I just bought my second Tonic trimmer. It's a gouillitine style. I only bought a new one because it fell on my tile floor and the handle snapped off.

I don't have it, but tried it out at my LSS and really liked it, but like KikiPea said, it isn't good for anything more than basic cardstock. If it could cut chipboard I would have bought it for the piece that lets you cut angles and the self sharpening blade. I didn't notice any of the other issues she had though - I test cut lots of things and it cut like butter (in both directions) for me.
