I swear they don't want to talk to me all day until I start reading or want to actually watch something.
Then they want to talk to me like we haven't been in the same house for weeks.
Your turn

OMG my DD does the same thing to me! I finally get to watching a show and she’ll come in and start talking and stay for an hour. I appreciate her talking to me but sometimes I’m ready for my quiet time.

My lovely 18 yr old DD is doing the same thing. Doesn’t come out of her room 98% of the day until I am trying to watch something.

mine like to wait until it's the last 10 minutes of the show - and then they have something vitally important to discuss with me! The more I seem to be liking the show the more they want to sit & chat

And I don't want to discourage them because you know, they are talking to me, I just wished they do it at a different time.
Dh will do it when I am reading too and since I'm now reading on a kindle, shutting the book and sighing doesn't have to same irritation to it. Like hanging up on someone with a call phone isn't as satisfying as a real or even a flip phone

Can I swap children for husband? He’s been an absolute star this past week. Every time I pick up my crochet and need to concentrate/count he starts a conversation. Dude we’ve spent all day together pottering around with a bit of general chit chat going on. I think he’s missing the sports on tv

Archive footage of all sorts of sports, quizes, podcasts, suggested sports films, Question of Sport podcast, interesting articles and interviews etc. They have put a lot of stuff on there, he might enjoy having a wander through the site.

Your turn I'm pretty sure this is how my DH drove his mother crazy. And lucky me, now it's my turn to have the fun! It drives me batty.

I don’t understand how mine STILL knows (she’s 17) every time I sit down on the toilet or start a phone call. It’s like there is a “mom needs a minute” bat signal.
