But what I posted on Facebook today says otherwise: I'm home alone for dinner of course ... I might have baked fish and chips What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Does anyone need hugs?

A very quiet Easter here for us. Our church did its now regular Mass on youtube, and they also found a way for us to take communion - using a side window to our chapel, and hosts in individual cups; we went to the window, the priest said the normal words, then we took the cup and ate the host, then were given a blessing by the priest. They asked us to come in household groups, and not congregate around the chapel or on the footpath outside. It seemed to be going well when we went by.
We had a couple of video chats back home - one with both our boys, or DDiL and DGD, and one with my dad. It's not the same as being home, but better than nothing.
Dinner tonight is going to be a roast lamb leg, with potatoes, sweet potatoes and cauliflower. Naturally, also gravy and cheese sauce for the cauli!

The arrows wish to send their blessings to all who are celebrating today. They are grounded because they are jealous of each other's Easter baskets. Apparently, the Easter bunny did not make each basket equal to the others. "Poo happens," I told them, although they had no idea what poo is.
We are having an egg dish, homemade bread, and a strawberry rhubarb pie if I can get the rhubarb cut into tiny pieces. I have an old metal pie plate from the 40's that is only 7" and it suits dh and me instead of the larger pie plates. And, of course, real whipped cream. Dh always licks the beaters.
Thanks for the thread. Great meme!

Happy Easter to my tribe mates who celebrate. We're having Honey Baked Ham with yams, Broccoli Madeleine, fruit salad and avocado halves with sliced green onions, diced cherry tomatoes, a splash of olive oil and sea salt. I bought a bag of avocados at Costco and, of course, they all got ripe at the same time.

Happy Easter everyone. I'm not a regular here but will check your threads if I'm stumped what to fix for dinner. Today I'm fixing fried chicken, mashed taters with white gravy, radishes, green onions and maybe another veggie if I can find something in the freezer. The chicken, radishes and green onions are from my CSA order I picked up Friday. I couldn't wait and snacked on a radish last night. Yum!! We will finish up with a key lime pie I found in the freezer.

Dinner will be leftover sloppy joes from last night, a side TBD, and lemon meringue pie.
We are expecting bad storms this evening, but this morning is still calm so we've been outside working on a few projects in the yard. I also cleaned house this morning. Since I'm home all day now, I've been trying to do a bit of spot cleaning each morning. As a result, today's cleaning was quick!
Love this thread more than ever now! Thanks for keeping it positive!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate. I'm going to make Chicken Parm. Our veggie is peas. Then I'm going to desertgirl 's house for rhubarb pie. I want to taste one of her pies. If I feel up to it I might bake today. Not sure what I'll bake.
leannec, you're being the bigger person. If your dd's see you two getting along that will go a long way twds them healing and choosing to come back to you. I'm sure it takes a lot of restraint to wish him Happy Birthday, but think of it as healthy for your dd's.((((HUGS)))). You'll find a happy normal. You will. Great memes today. If I could fill your easter eggs they would have ((((HUGS)))), great health, prosperity and lots of love.

I am making rib steaks, roasted vegetables, rice or pasta but not sure which and kale salad. We have cheesecake for dessert.
I am having trouble sleeping. It was a joke at first but now it isn’t funny. I am really worried about my dad and the kids. I think I am just melting down. Sorry guys. The stress is getting to me.

I’m cooking a prime rib roast with Yorkshire puddings, mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, butternut squash and gravy....lots of gravy! For dessert I baked a three layer chocolate cake from scratch with cream cheese frosting. I’m serving dinner around 3:00 so I’ll have time to enjoy cake!
Happy Easter everyone!

We will have smoked ham, green beans, fresh pineapple and scalloped potatoes. I have the ham on the smoker. And I made an icebox banana pudding/cake (graham crackers, bananas and sugar-free cheesecake pudding, layered).
Happy Easter.

Happy Easter for everyone celebrating today. For us it is Palm Sunday, so we are having salmon, asparagus, zucchini and potatoes. Probably sheet pan/roasted. Even though I think the rain is supposed to hold off until evening it is too cold to turn on the grill. Last night we had the most delicious Thai red curry and Pad Thai - it is amazing how much I enjoy food made by someone else.

Well, there is plenty of chicken spaghetti. But there’s also a chicken breast and chicken broth left over from making the chicken spaghetti, lots of fresh veggies, and a pantry full of German soup noodles. So I could probably talk myself into making chicken noodle soup. The mandarin orange/lemon cake came out just fine. ( scrapmaven, did you see my final post last night?) Happy Easter to the Easter celebrators. For me, it’s always just been ham, deviled eggs, and chocolate day. mmm, maybe I’ll make a few deviled eggs. iowagirl50147, welcome to the dinner tribe. Your Easter dinner sounds delicious.

Happy Easter if you celebrate, happy Sunday if you don’t. We are having Italian carryout. I’m just having salad. Plus I bought the banana cream pie yesterday. I’d rather have KelleeM ‘s chocolate cake. The Easter bunny has been driving up & down the streets in the back of a pickup truck. leannec after you wish him happy birthday chat with your fwb and forget about it.

Hi Everyone! I didn’t get a chance to read or post in yesterday’s thread. So I will go back and read it. Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates! For those in the middle of Passover Chag Sameach! Great memes leannec and cadoodlebug! Everyones menus sound delicious. Right now I have the ham in the oven. I am also making mashed potatoes, asparagus, broccoli and for the first time, I am making pineapple stuffing. I could make a cake for desert; but I think I will save it for tomorrow. Sending prayers for peace and healing.

For our dining pleasure this Easter Sunday we will be enjoying cabbage and kielbasa..........not the usual ham and fixings, I thought about it when I had to go and get groceries last Monday but decided not to go with the usual when we couldn’t have the normal 12 here.......and besides we are having a blizzard with ice and snow on everything............
Happy Easter Sunday Everybody!

I’m a “what’s for dinner” lurker, but come often for ideas.
Tonight I’m making Italian Beef sandwiches. I have a chuck roast in the crock pot doing its thing.
I’m not big on Easter, so it’s pretty much a Sunday here. I do miss when the kids were little and we did all the Easter Bunny stuff though. They’re at their Dad’s house this weekend, so we aren’t doing anything (they’re 18 & 20).
This will be enough meal for a couple days at least, so that’s the best part!

Happy Easter everyone! I ate way too much food of course. For brunch DD made white choc and cranberry hot cross buns. I made one of my favourites, Quail Egg & Pancetta Tart. For lunch we had chocolate. Then for dinner I made Tom Yum Soup for starters, and the signature dish from our favourite restaurant: Pork Belly with Chilli Caramel served with Apple Slaw and Nuoc Cham. DSO commented on how that dish is definitely worth the effort, and I thought to myself "That's easy for you to say, you're not the one overseeing 10 hours of cooking over a two day period!" ETA: Make that 10 hours and 15 minutes, I just remembered that I burnt my first batch of chilli caramel. Rookie mistake!

AussieMeg , you are a true foodie. When I read about your meals I often wonder if at some point you were a trained chef? Haha thank you! And no, I'm just good at choosing recipes that I know we'll like and copying them! My MIL is a truly good cook, she rarely uses a recipe and has the ability to whip up delicious food with whatever she has in the fridge / pantry. I would love to be able to do that.

We had a turkey breast, mashed potatoes , gravy, zucchini Latka, mandarin oranges, boxed Mac & cheese. And crispy turkey skin.
Son came up to eat with us. He dumped the turkey food for me and carried a bag of garden soil to my potted garden area.
