I’ve just finished watching the YouTube live viewing of Andrea Bocelli singing from the Cathedral in Milan. The shots of the deserted streets are very moving. It include live film from many other cities across the world. I used to live in Milan, it brought back so many memories for me. It’s such an amazing Cathedral. I’m not religious at all but found it very powerful viewing. For some reason I’m now crying my eyes out! I don’t know how to link but it can be found on YouTube with Andrea Bocelli Milan 2020.

We watched it live and also found it very moving. The empty streets across Italy and other cities was also touching, especially when I’ve been to mayor them in ‘normal’ times and know what they are usually like. I haven’t been to Milan - it was on my list for this year - but I told DH we have to go when travel is possible again. I have to stand in that cathedral!

I loved it. I only wish it had been more than half an hour.

Although the concert is over the link still takes you to the concert. Drag the arrow to 22:30** where Andrea does Amazing Grace outside the cathedral. It is heartbreaking to see the emptiness there and in the scenes of some of the world's great cities. Beautiful singing, beautiful photography.
** should have said drag arrow to about 18:50, not 22:30 for start of Amazing Grace. You'll see more city views.

Thanks for sharing. It’s so moving to see events like this right now. I’m sure I’ll be bawling my head off. 😬

Watching it now. Beautiful, moving and so sad. I'm worried about him too--he's thinner every time i see him.

Oh thanks for the link - I kept seeing glimpses of AB but never caught what he was doing. That cathedral is just stunning and obviously his voice is second to none 😊

When I arrived there was scaffolding on parts of it as they were cleaning it. When I left 4 years later there was still scaffolding as they were still cleaning it! It’s great to see it looking so amazing.

I found it very moving especially when he did Amazing Grace. That being said, everything is making me well up these days!

What a powerful performance. I agree, Amazing Grace our in front of the cathedral was very moving.
