I like to burn one at a time. I have maybe two or three unlit ones waiting for their turn. I'm trying to avoid clutter.

I have a candle warmer in my kitchen and go thru 2 large Yankee jars every month, changing the scent each month. Somehow, however, I seem to have accumulated quite a few of them when they're having a sale and I buy them ahead of time. Right now I have about 12 waiting in the wings. This does not count the 5 I have just for the Christmas season. In my defense, these candles don't get burned as often, so I've had them for a few years. The other 12 I cannot explain. To make this scenario even more interesting, I just climbed onto the Scentsy bandwagon. I have no idea what I'm going to do w/all those jar candles.

I have about ten. In my defense it is because I have them in three different areas of the house, but still.

A lot. But most aren't large jars, fortunately. What I have too much of are Christmas scents in large jars, many of which have been hanging around for nearly a decade because they don't get burned for much of the year. And every year people give me more Christmas scented candles.

I'm almost done with a pumpin BBW candle now and have 4 in the cabinet waiting. I will probably pick up a couple of the ones on sale though. I like the holiday scented candles best.

I ♥ BBW 3 wicks & might have a slight problem ;)I think I'm perfectly fine; however, my DH might have a differing opinion. Currently there are at least 50 3 wicks, possibly more on my candle shelf.
Winter has been one of my favorites during Christmas time. I always love the peppermint mocha/peppermint chocolate scents.
A few days ago I bought Autumn & Sweater Weather, both scents that I normally wouldn't consider. Love Autumn!! I haven't burned Sweater Weather yet, but really liked the wallflower.
Cayenne Caramel was a scent that was a pleasant surprise.
I've been reading posts speculating that there might be an $8 sale sooner than later. I'm saving coupons just in case.

Those of you that use candle warmers, what kind do you have? Does the wax "burn" or does the wax level remain the same and just the fragrance goes away after a while? I have candles that I really should use up but I'd also like to get some B&BW candles. I don't burn candles often because I want to keep a close eye on them. I'd feel a little safer with a candle warmer but then I'm also afraid that I might be more apt to forget to turn off the warmer.

I'm on self imposed candle restriction....for the last 4 years. Seriously.

I have a "healthy" stash of large Yankee candles. They all fit on my shelf in the pantry. But a pea mentioned a 50% off clearance at Colonial Candle, and BAM! No room left for all these candles! I don't know whether to thank her or not!

Mine is a no name I picked up at Michael's, I think. The wax level does indeed stay the same and I find the fragrance lasts about as long as it would if you burned it. I've only used Yankee, so I can't speak to B&BW, but once in a while I will get one where when the wax heats up it actually swells up and sticks out over the top of the jar. It doesn't flow down the sides, but it's weird. I have also had them have little hot pockets, where the wax will pop and I'll find little 'droplets' on my counter. And I have had one jar crack and the wax ooze everywhere. Not trying to scare you off - I would still opt for the warmer over burning ANY day. I just wanted you to have all the info I could give ya. Speaking of B&BW, I've never tried their candles! Do they have votives, tealites & tarts (oh my!) or just jars? Are they cheaper than Yankee? Since I'm changing over to Scensty, I have no use for jars, but I still burn the other 3.

That worries me as sometimes I leave the candle warmer plugged in when I go out. not intentionally, but sometimes I forget and then think it will be ok. I will be more careful from now on. Candles are so wonderful, but can be so dangerous if not taken care of properly.

Today BBW's 3 wicks are 2/$22, plus there's an email offering 25% off purchase (expires today). When the 2/$22 sale is offered each additional candle is $11. The 25% brings the candle cost to $8.25. Great price!
I never pay full price for BBW candles! I always wait for a 2/$22 sale and then use a 25% off coupon or $10 off $30 coupon and buy 3.

It's rare that it happens to me, but it has happened. The rising wax, once or twice. The cracking only once and I'm fairly certain it was a defective candle.
That all being said, I still leave mine plugged in when I go out (much to the horror of many people). That's why I went to a warmer - you can't leave the house and leave a candle burning and I love coming in my front door and having a lovely scent greet me.

You all are making me feel much better about my candle addiction, lol. I have a cabinet in my kitchen where I keep all of my candles. I have about 20 jar candles from various places. I used to love YC, but the last few I have bought had little to no throw to them at all. My new favorites are the BB&W ones, especially the Salted Carmel Corn!

You mean the picnic basket full that I have in the bedroom, the five gallon size ziplok bags of tea lights, the two boxes in my computer room and the huge plastic box of candles in the shed?
Then instead of burning a candle for the smell I put orange peels, vanilla and cinnamon in a pot on the stove and wonder why I keep buying candles.

I've been trying to go through my stash and just burn one candle until it's finished before I buy a new one. I still have about 10 unused candles though. I used to have a stash of about 20 candles.

When I counted my candles the other just as I was planning a trip to B&BW, I had an even dozen. My favorite one is Eucalyptus Spearmint (Stress Relief. I have some seasonal like Red Velvet Cupcake, Twisted Peppermint, Fireside and Fresh Balsam. Green Grass smells just like the grass has been cut. Honeysuckle was just okay.
Yes, I'm a candle addict ! ! !
