As I'm purging I'm noticing some of my supplies aren't so appealing anymore. Mind you, some are current supplies and some not very old. Now, it seems I'm going for cleaner, more simple pages. I do still love layering paper and I enjoy doing some watercolor on my pages so they aren't super-simple, but they aren't all 3-D like they used to be.

Yes, I have started going simpler as well. Some of mine still end up being layered at times and I do like to use flair, but for the most part, I am trying to keep it flatter and adding less to my page overall. For me, it kind of started out as not wanting to have to store thick pages but now I think I am liking it more and it feels more like my personal style. I do still layer in quite a few layouts but don't add near as many pop dots. I have also started sewing on my pages and that seems to add enough interest for me without dimension.

I never did super elaborate pages, but there was a time when I felt that every page had to be a work of art. At some point, I realized I didn't need to meet such a demanding standard. I still occasionally fancy up a layout more, but most of the time my pages are relatively simple by a lot of Peas/Refupeas standards.

In order to scrap as fast as I want to, I have to keep my pages simple. So I do not stamp, sew, mist, paint, etc. I do ink occasionally and I do use 3D elements. I also use patterned paper and layer it. I do mat some photos; not all.
My goal is not an artistic page but rather to tell the story of the photo with the paper and embellies. So much of my stuff is themed and I love word or phrase stickers a whole lot!
I could use my die cut machine a whole lot more, but I go in waves with that -sometimes I'll sit down and cut out a whole bunch of stuff and then nothing for months. Even then it is likely a one dimensional die cut or phrase.

At least half of my pages are really simple. Once in a while I feel like fussing more. I just go with what I am feeling.

I don't know if I scrap simpler than I used to, but I use less flowers than before. A couple of years ago, I would use 30-40 flowers on a page, and other embellishments too, but now I rarely use more than a handful. I layer a lot, but 5 layers of paper are still less dimensional than most Prima flowers.

I have simplified quite a bit for a few reasons. I am more drawn to a simpler style now than I used to be, I have less time to scrap, I have less space, and I'm more frugal about what supplies I buy now.

my pages are typically pretty simple, I try to over the top embellish based on videos I see but it never works for me.

I really should if I have any hope of scrapping all the pics of my sons before they move out (youngest is 15).
However, I have purchased so much stuff over the years, that I just can't justify not using it. I suppose I could donate it, but it still would feel like such a waste of money.
I do make simple pages once in awhile, but overall . . . I gotta use up those buttons! And ribbon. And alcohol inks. And veneers. And brads. And stickers. And die cuts. And embossing powders . . .

I've always been super simple with my scrapping style. I'm *this* close to it not even being called real scrapbooking.

I suppose I have. Even though I love my pages more and I'm using more embellishments (instead of storing them), I feel like my pages are simpler. I've always avoided "cutesy" or "whimsical". Now I use wider strips of patterned papers or several patterned paper mats and embellishment clusters. Much faster as well.

I've always been a simple scrapper - story-focused, extensive journaling, cardstock-intensive, clean, linear, & actual memorabilia as embellishments. Especially on pages without memorabilia, I occasionally layer papers/journaling cards, die cut titles, &/or incorporate stamping to embellish.

I have always been a pretty simple scrapper. Occasionally I will do a one page, one photo layout and try to stretch myself to use a lot more embellishments.

I've always been a simple scrapper as well. Lots of paper, embellishing with paper, layering, paper stickers, that kind of thing. I've managed to branch out into enamel dots and wood veneer, but it's still pretty hard to get me to use a brad for instance. And no flowers.
I think I'm *very* different when it comes to cardmaking vs scrapbooking. For a card I'll do all that artsy crap. I'll do the inks and flowers and layer stuff upon stuff. Not for my layouts though. Especially since with layouts I somehow have to contain them within a scrapbook and the cards can live wild and free either in an Iris box here, or in someone else's home.
