I bought the Gina K. "Tall Birch Trees" stamp. I had to have it, cost was 17 bucks. Today I finally told myself you will make something with it, (I've only had it for 6 months) So I opened it up and it stamps....birch trees. Not exciting at all. I did a bunch of googling, and looked at some ideas for using it and 1) it doesn't look like it got a lot of love and 2) they are all Christmas cards. I don't want to make Christmas cards. Anyone have a brilliant idea for this stamp, or any good links? Do you own this stamp and love it? www.ginakdesigns.com/product/clear-stamps-tall-birch/

Pretty much Every stamp company has a Birch trees stamp/die of some sort. Don’t limit your searches to just Gina K. I like this spring version found at Simon.

The branches are bare, so the assumption is that it’s for winter cards, but if you just stamped some leaves onto the branches and added a cardinal, it could look more like a spring or summer card.

Stamp it on a wide border strip of paper with the trunks horizontal, and use it for the look of texture. You could just use the thicker bottom trunk part, and mask off the branches part.
Stamp it, emboss it or glitter up the trunks, then hang proportionally sized easter egg images from the branches.
Place a little bird 🐦 on each branch.
Or a big old owl.
Hang hearts from the tree for Valentine's layout/card. Or love/anniversary.
Stamp or draw festive birthday bunting from the branches.
Have the trees be background, and place a stamped animal as the focus in front of them. Or presents. An Easter basket. Pot of gold.

Well, what I was coming on to say was said by the ladies above. I don't have a stamp but I have two dies similar. I have the Lawn Fawn birch tree die and you might get some ideas from them. You could stamp as a background and use die cut shapes (if you are into dies) in the foreground.

Glad to see this thread. I have that stamp, too. I was so excited to get it, but couldn't remember why.

Glad to see this thread. I have that stamp, too. I was so excited to get it, but couldn't remember why. That's me too! I was out shopping and I saw it and bought it quickly, somehow thinking I'd use it all the time! Now, I cannot remember why. I will try out some of these suggestions, thank you!!

All of my ideas were very wintery and Christmasy, but I'm sure you could do some versions with different seasons represented with colorful leaves, maybe layered with some critters in the foreground? What kinds of cards do you like to make? general greetings?

What if you put it on watercolored painted paper with bright green spring colors? Not expected since it looks like fall, but think of it as a waiting for spring card.

I would stamp it and use it like an abstract striped / patterned background paper. Can you stamp only portions of it and do a 'grungy' sort of abstract kind of stamp with only portions of the upper branches, maybe?? a 2nd generation or 3rd generation stamp on the edges of a SB page background??
eta: I'm thinking scrapbook page, so... I'd stamp the bottom portion only, next to each other, along a 12-inch piece of paper. Any color- orange, purple, red, pink, etc. Then trim it to 1 or 2 inches x 12 inches, and voila- you have a striped piece of paper with a sort of abstract stripe. Or stamp the entire stamp and punch circles or any other shape from the branch part = abstract patterned shapes for a tag, SB page, etc.

I have a few stamps like that one, and I use it with an inked background (sky and ground). I stamp and emboss it with a dark brown or very dark black ink and do a resist background.
You can do any seasonal background by just changing up the colors.
