This morning I'm off to a 2 hour test. Weeeee. I'll see how I feel later. Dinner is slated to be chicken risotto, but if I'm too tired I will change it to oyako donburi.
What's on your menu?
It's been a bit of a stressful week. I think the weekend needs to be devoted to some enjoyment and rest. I hope that you will follow suit and enjoy your weekend.

We are having filled pasta (I believe it is mushroom ravioli, but DH did the shopping last Saturday), with whatever sauce he finds in the fridge or pantry. There will also be a salad with whatever vegetables are still fresh.
I am not feeling 100% today - I have a sneaking suspicion that a UTI is creeping up on me. I'd really rather avoid having to go to the emergency clinic, but it might be necessary. UGH!

Oh christine58 I'm so sorry. It is Fashion Friday! I got all dressed up today because it is Date Night! I've got ribs cooking in the Crock-Pot and there will be baked potatoes, broccoli, and salad to go along with it. Red wine. Candles. Flowers. And then front row seats for Phantom of the Opera tonight. I hope Jeremy is impressed with the lengths I've gone to to make tonight special. And that he shows his appreciation with some cuddles and smooches. Happy Friday!!

christine58, blessings to you and your family today. DH and I are taking a field trip to Michael's. He's painting a picture of a beautiful flower and ran out of one of the colors. The Michael's closest to us is out of stock so we have to drive about 12 or so miles down the freeway to pick it up curbside. I didn't realize there are 3 Michael's within 12 miles of us! We're so excited to be going for a drive. Dinner will be sausage, fruit salad and zuchinni. Cute picture jeremysgirl!

Absolutely no idea what dinner will be. My left foot felt left out and has decided to flare up (gout) the last couple of days, so I'm not in the mood to do any cooking. There is a pizza in the oven Freezer that might have to be pulled into action. scrapmaven - hope your tests go well. christine58 - Hugs to you as you go through a very tough day for your family. sueg - I hope you don't end up at the emergency clinic as well. jeremysgirl - Look at you! Cute as can be! Enjoy your date night! ETA: changed the location of the aforementioned pizza. Wonders what a long nap will do for your proofreading abilities.

Dh went shopping this morning and I am happy to report that I have a fridge full of vegetables. He's used to stopping and buying fruit and a few other items, not shopping for the week, let alone for 3-4 weeks. He's been doing a great job and says he doesn't mind, but I think secretly he can't wait until he can turn that job back over to me. Since I now have vegetables, I am making Korean chicken and vegetables over rice.

Dinner tonight will be a mystery. We have no rechauffe in the fridge so it has to be something new. Maybe I will make the chicken cordons. My dad wants an upright freezer. I may die after unloading the one we had at the house.

More upright freezer have issues because people don't lock and close them properly.

I am making the roast beef that I was going to make on Easter Sunday. My son will pick up the dinner and their Friday night dinner is done. The roast is big, so that means they will have leftovers for the weekend. Also baking chocolate chip cookie for dessert.
My ddil is working at home and also looking after my 2 gkids. I am adding a box of the wonderful chocolates that she really likes.
I will have some of the roast beef at home by myself.

Hi Everyone! christine58 Sending many prayers and healing thoughts for your family. scrapmaven I hope that you get a positive outcome for your test. sueg I hope that you don’t have a UTI. jeremysgirl You look fabulous! I love your outfit. Delta Dawn jubejubes is right. An upright freezer is great. We have one and we keep the key attached to the handle. leannec I am praying that you don’t get the virus. **GypsyGirl** I hope that your foot starts feeling better soon. cadoodlebug Love the memes. DH went grocery shopping today. So I spent an hour wiping down, spraying and putting away everything. Tonight, I am going to make some type of a chicken dish. We were trying to hold out going shopping but we needed milk, bread, cereal and meats. We have been scared to death to even go grocery shopping. Our county now has I think 1045 cases of Covid, with 118 new cases since yesterday. The numbers of deaths between what the hospitals are reporting and the coroner in our county don’t match. Our state (PA) is nearing 30,000 confirmed cases and 756 deaths.

I picked up a nice pork roast, and I will do a rerun of Easter dinner. I enjoyed that port so much, but left it with my mom.
I will serve it with boiled new potatoes, some asparagus steamed, and salad, probably. I don't know if BF will be home; he's on the road this morning, bound for North Dakota. It's supposed to be a round trip today.

Hugs as you get through this difficult day, christine58. You look marvelous, jeremysgirl. DD(22) is having a really hard time right now and was in tears last night but didn't want to talk about it. She is rarely home normally and always has some activity/event/travel coming up and is out with friends, at the gym or working. I'm pretty sure the idea of spending her birthday at home has finally broken her spirit. Between that and one of my CASA cases falling apart, I feel my spirit is breaking, too. I'm pretty sure it is a fend for yourself night around here.

It is dh's birthday, so I gave him the option of ordering takeout or grilling steaks. He chose steaks, so he will grill those in the confusing snow/sleet crap that has been going on all day. Probably fries and salad to go with.

Prayers for today christine58Maybe tacos, I know SO had something Mexican for lunch, but that was my plan this morning. The oven is not working, daughter and I made the dough for the DoubleTree cookies and the oven won't heat up. BOOWHOO! SO changed the igniter before, hoping that's the only issue.

I missed posting yesterday because my mom called and asked me to come over and help her with some things. My stepdad was finally diagnosed with moderate dementia, and is less and less able to do things on his own, and it’s all falling on her. They’re supposed to be moving to a building with more services at the end of this month. gahhhh ANYWAY, I stopped at HoneyBaked on the way home, and picked up a small ham and some cheesy potatoes. So that will hold me for awhile. scrapmaven, sueg, **GypsyGirl** ... I hope you all feel better quickly. christine58, many hugs. Thinking of you and your family today. jeremysgirl, your date night sounds fab! Enjoy yourselves. bc2ca, I’m sorry this has been so wearing on you and your girly. Hope tomorrow is a better day. scrappert, sorry about the oven. I want to try that recipe, too.

I just want to send you the biggest hug. I went to a funeral once of a 9 month old baby. And that image of that child has haunted me. That's not the way life is supposed to be.
