I am so sorry for your loss! I hope... I don't know what I hope. I just want you take care of yourself and the baby even though you have to bury your father. I am so so sorry that this is happening to you, because something similar happened to me and I still think about it every day. I lost my beloved grandmother five days before I had my daughter, who I was naming after grandma. I sort of held it together until the baby was born, and then had a massive emotional and hormonal breakdown in the hospital a few hours after the delivery. It was a horrible time, and those five days that my grandma should have been alive for haunts me to this day, and my daughter is almost 10 years old. I just wanted to be able to call her and say 'the girl who is going to carry your name is here!' and show her a picture. I lived too far away for my grandmother to come visit at the time, but I really wanted her to at least see a picture and know everything went perfectly with the baby. But after my grandmothers funeral, there was a small gathering at my parent's house, and my mother was very proudly showing everyone the new babypictures. It was like one life left us and another one entered the family. For some strange reason I can't shake the feeling that my grandmother is watching over DD. SOMEONE sure is  |

I'm so sorry. It is shitty and it's not fair. I also lost my dad suddenly and it's okay to be mad. It's part of the grieving process. ((hugs))

I'm am so sorry to hear about your dad.
I have a similar story. My dad had an aneurysm the day I entered my 9th month with my 1st child. He was never again conscious. I lived several hours away so was limited in the time I was allowed to travel. My dad died 3weeks after she was born. He never knew. I had debated in finding out the sex of my baby but was glad I did because at least my dad knew we were blessed with a baby girl. It's been 25 years and I still miss my dad.

My dad died of a heart attack too. It sucks. There's no other way to put it.
