So I have an ATG and I really like it when I know I'm not going to be moving something. But I tend to move things around and I really need a "dot" style adhesive so I can pick up. But I obviously need it to have a permanent hold (oh how I miss you old hermafix) eventually. I know shimelle likes the This to That but man I hate the adhesive American Crafts uses on their Thickers and I'm afraid it won't hold well. I have used AdTech but it gets terrible reviews and I'm worried my stuff will start to come up. Any recommendations?

I use the hermio tabs, just 1 on the back of a pic or embellishment for when I'm in this situation. They are super easy to peel off.

I just switched from Tombow to the Scotch Dot Roller - I think Scotch makes the ATG, but I don't have an ATG. So far, I'm good with the Scotch Dot Roller.

Good point about the AC adhesive. I don't use the ATG because I find it just too big to handle. I love my Tombow adhesive and have been using it for years. I get the refills at Michaels' with a coupon. Oh, BTW, the Recollections brand stinks. It doesn't hold and the tape breaks.

Score Tape and Glue Dots (in the applicator, not the box) are a couple of my favorites.
Score Tape holds better than the ATG for something that gets more stress, like 3D projects.

I use the American Craft adhesives and have never had an issue with them staying. I needed some adhesive and could not find the AC locally and I rediscovered hermafix - the new dispenser seems to have solved the issues that it had in the past.

It really depends on the job the adhesive needs to do . . . I've stayed with my hermafix for regular scrap booking. I have the Tombow Extreme for heavy duty stuff like acrylic mini albums. Glue dots and zips, dimensional adhesives, Xyron X Repositionable and Permanent, and a few others complete the stick-it-down arsenal!

I've tried the Duck brand adhesive roller and really liked it! I don't use it much because it's difficult to find the refills.

I use to use Duck adhesives too but I always had trouble with the dispensers not working properly. I read there was a defective batch but by then I had switched to the ATG. I would try the Duck again if necessary. I also love Zig pens for the smaller jobs.

For someone that likes to move things around I still think you just can't find something better than Hermafix Dotto in repositionable. You can move around easily, and the dots rub off like a breeze. Layouts I made 10 years ago with it are still holding tight. BUT I still prefer the old style dispenser rather than the one that looks like 2 circles, if that makes sense.

My favourite is the Bazzill Runner by far! It's not too big to carry around, refillable, has lots on a roll (100ft) and my stuff doesn't fall off.

I also use the Hermafix Dotto a lot, but I usually use the permanent b/c I don't tend to even get the adhesive out until I'm done moving stuff around on the page, LOL! I also liked the old style dispenser better too, even though I was forced to get a new one (the 2-circle style) one time when I was desperate for the runner in the middle of a project and M's had no refills. I also use the Herma Vario a lot (permanent, but stuff is usually movable for a short time), Xyron X permanent for small stuff, Tombow multi and/or Zig pen when I need a wet adhesive.

For permanent adhesion, I use the ATG, Scor Tape or Scotch quick Dry. I still love Herma Dots for repositional jobs.
I also love my Xyrons. I have the X, the 250, 500, and 900.

I love the Herma Dotto and the squares. I have never had the desire to try ATG because I like being able to move things around.

My everyday adhesive that I've used for years & highly recommend is the Scrapbook Adhesives EZ Dots by 3L (available at here at Hobby Lobby, ACMoore, & Joann's). HTH

I have like the AC this to that adhesive. I found some at tues morning for cheap. I have also used adtech and haven't had issues. I also found some Alene's dot runner at Tues Morning. I liked it a lot but can't remember how removal it is...Elmer's also had a glue dot runner that works well.

I like those glue dots, ScoreTape or that Super Tacky Red Tape from Michael's. The Scoretape can be ripped off, but the red tacky tape has to be cut as the backing is plastic.

I still only use herma dotto removeable and I stock up on it like a hoarder. I use it for pretty much everything. with an occasional tab, glue dot or pop dot.
You know the dotto becomes almost permanent over time, but if you ever need to get a photo off of a page for some reason (to scan it for a funeral memory board or whatever) you can take it right off, no tearing or ripping the photo or the paper.
