Let's make this happen! The iNSD weekend is the F/S/S of May 1st through 3rd There will be all kinds of activities on the board here, but I know some of us like to chit chat in our virtual crops too. Rather than rely on someone with a paid Zoom account to carry the load of hosting us for the whole weekend, let's organize and see what we can accomplish together using a free resource we all have access to: Google Hangouts. Yes, the maximum participants is only 10, but it's easy enough and quick enough to open additional rooms if needed. Would any of you be available to host a Google Hangouts virtual crop for a block of time over the iNSD weekend? Just let me know your availability and flexibility in this thread or send me a Peamail. We already have at least one volunteer for each day, so we're off to a good start! On which days can you be available to host? Between which hours? Please include your time zone! For how long a block (3 hours? 4 hours? longer?) Both US coasts, Australia, and Europe - and everywhere in between - I'd love to hear from all of you! When we have our volunteers, I'll post a chart so we'll know who's hosting when, and where to find the link. I'll bump this thread next week when you all have a better idea of your schedules.

I'd be willing to join in and host for a time period, I'd likely need some instructions for setting up the Google hangouts . I'm in Pacific time and would be available to host Friday and/or Saturday, and possibly Sunday depending on the crop schedule. I'm flexible on time limits (3-4 hours works) as I don't have any other commitments and can help where needed. I'm excited, last week got me back into the scrappy groove.

I will also need a crash corse but I would be happy to help too! Daytime hours are best for me since my scrappy area is in my master bedroom and SO likes to sleep at night... hehe

I would like to play for sure. But I don't want to host as I have a short attention span. So I often move in and out of the scrapbook room. But I really would like to pop in and see you guys.

I can host on Saturday or Sunday. Anytime after 10:00 Eastern would work. I can do 3 hours, maybe more.

I can do the early morning EST block on Saturday if needed. If you have everyone you need, then no worries, I'll just join in the fun. If we get too many in then I can be the alternate.

You Peas are awesome!
Are there any US Peas who stay up crazy late? Or Aussie or European Peas who are interested in cropping or hosting? Please let me know if you want to crop or host when much of the US is sleeping. I want to make sure we don't start too late or quit too early for you.

I can host Friday evening starting around 6-ish CST. Saturday, same time and any time Sunday you might need. I'm usually good for about 3 hours or so. Is there a time limit to how long a hangout can be? I keep thinking how cool it would be if there was one hangout for the whole weekend that people everyone could just come and go in as they liked. I'm not sure that's really possible but I like the way it sounds lol.

joyfulnana, if I understand correctly, there's no time limit on Google. I think we actually could leave a link open for that long, but it would tie up someone's computer the whole time. The only time limit is that of the host. I didn't think it was fair to ask any of us to give up that much of their day, and for multiple days. teacherlisa, to attend you just need to have a Google account and be signed in. Then you just click on the link provided by the host. And you'll need to enable your camera and microphone. That's it! To host, you'd need to sign on, click on the Hangouts icon, click video call, and where the invite options are listed you'd click on copy link to share and post it here. So glad you'll be joining us!

I didn’t think about having someone’s computer tied up for three days. Only how cool it would be lol. I totally understand though.

msliz I could make sure I'm available until 11 or midnight, and if I get into a late night scrapping groove I may stay up later!

Sorry msliz I can't do the hangouts part, but I will do my best to pop in on the boards and cheerlead and chat if that's helpful.

msliz, are you going to assign us times? Yes, I've started a chart based on the availability you've given me. I plan to send it out for your review in a PeaMail, make any necessary changes, and then post it by Wednesday night hopefully.

I can commit to Friday, and I think joyfulnana is tied up elsewhere on Saturday, but could jump in on Sunday between her Hangout sessions. msliz if you need a host at a particular time, let me know. I am in Mountain time. At my "best" between 8:00AM and 9:00PM here.

I’m in the Pacific time zone so I will be a bit late to the party in the morning, but I can jump on once I’m up.
